Many years have passed since Jesus left this earth and returned to Heaven. However, just before He left He gave a promise to His followers, His Church, that He would one day return for all His people and take them to His Father’s house.
Centuries have passed since Christ spoke these words. During these many years of waiting, complacency has crept into the church, Time has become an enemy, stealing the church’s eager expectation of Christ’s imminent return as well as the urgency to complete the work He commissioned it to do. It appears that ‘Out of sight’ means ‘Out of mind.’
Jesus warned that at the end times, the love of many would grow cold, many would forget His promises, and any talk of His return would be uncomfortable and un-welcomed. His return would bring an unwanted disruption into lives, heralding something they don’t want to happen. If it is to happen they want it to happen at a convenient time of their choosing.
The church body has been shaken, deluded and misled by all of this confusion and deception. The outcome of all of this is a church that has lost its way, its state of readiness and its purpose for existing. Anything that would rob the church of its stated purpose and the imminent expectancy of the Lord’s return is not from God.
This Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ is God’s last word to the last day church. It outlines for us the world events that will happen in the last days and makes it very clear to all who would take the time to read it the end result of those who have rejected God’s extended hand of Mercy and Grace. Blessed are those who read this Book and take to heart what it reveals and says.
