Hell<   ?   >Heaven

Ecclesiastes 10:2
The heart of the wise man inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left.

Matthew 7:13-14

13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate

and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and

             many enter through it.

14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads

to life, and only a few find it.

Isaiah 30:21

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears

           will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way;
           walk in it.”

Jeremiah 10:23

I know, O LORD, that a man’s life is not his own; it is

not for man to direct his steps.

Two roads – one is wide and one is narrow they lead to two very different destinations. One road is very popular and is traveled widely and its notoriety consists of man-made myths that are believed by the crowd that travel it. The other is less traveled by a few select people whose lives have been transformed by a supernatural event orchestrated by an Omnipotent God. The narrow road leads to Heaven and the wide road leads to hell. Every man and every woman will have to make a decision as to which road they will travel on, it will be their choice. There will be no coercion, no intimidation, no force applied to make a person choose which one they will walk. Which one will be according to their own ‘free will – their choice’? They will choose the road but will not be able to choose the consequences.

When God created man He created him with a free will. This simply means that man is a free agent and because of this he has the freedom to choose to do anything he so desires, good, bad or indifferent. It is the freedom of the will to choose a course of action without any external coercion but always within the ideals or moral outlook of the individual. When it comes to man’s free will God had to step back and allow man to decide for himself what he will do and what he will believe regardless of the consequences. God wanted the jewel of His creation, man, to love him because he wanted to not because he had to and so for this to happen man had to be given a free will’ to choose good or evil even if it led to his destruction.

The difference between the two roads is amazing and that difference is readily seen by everyone. Sight plays a very big role in the decision as to what road an individual will choose to walk on. One road caters to the human, carnal, immoral, material driven, selfish nature which desires a life of ease and luxury. The other road reaches out to the unselfish, moral, God fearing man and woman who deny the desires of their fleshly nature that they might know their God in a personal way and there desire is to walk His way no matter the cost. Let’s take a close look at these two roads and examine the attraction each one has that entices the individual to choose one over the other.

Eat – Drink – be Merry – Wrong Road!

Proverbs 21:17

He who loves pleasure will become poor; whoever

loves wine and oil will never be rich.

If there was just one word used to describe the attraction for the wide road I believe it would be PLEASURE! There is a saying that the world has accepted and tries to live by; it is IF IT FEELS GOOD DO IT. This is what PLEASURE means, a good feeling, and sensual satisfaction or delight right now, a gratification of the senses. This road offers pleasure to one and all, the old, middle aged and young. It attracts by offering a high degree of pleasure, something to please everyone’s carnal desires. Everything on this road is for the individuals comfort and enjoyment along with the lure of wealth and power. The road is resplendent with the pleasures of the world and it draws the people to it just as the flame attracts the moth. The attractions are numerous and are very enticing to the eyes and senses. No expense has been spared by the world to make this road attractive, irresistible and captivating to all, men and women, young and old alike. Everyone feels at home on this road, they are made to feel like one of the crowd, that they belong. It’s crowded but it is wide and there is plenty of room for all to walk on and space to breath.

Ecclesiastes 2:10

I denied myself nothing my eyes desired; I

refused my heart no pleasure . My heart

took delight in all my work, and this was

the reward for all my labor.

Broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.

Exodus 23:2

Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong.

Jude 18-19

“In the last times there will be scoffers who

will follow their own ungodly desires.”

This road is easy to travel and for every obstruction that is encountered, or whenever anything is not to the individuals liking there is always a way around it. There are many detours and side road to make your journey pleasant and there is nothing to make you want to get off of this road. Every detour eventually brings you back to the original road and destination. There are many attractions along the way to keep you interested and amused and seeking for more of the same. The individuals’ pleasure is paramount, ranking above everything else in importance, anything to keep you moving towards the end goal, the eternal damnation of your soul.

Ecclesiastes 7:4

But the heart of fools is in the house of pleasure.

This road is wide and always heavily traveled and there are always many fellow travelers to encourage you and to entice you to keep walking with them. There is an old saying and it is so true, ‘Misery loves company.’ The sights, the sounds, the excitement are all geared to appeal to the carnal nature of man. You are constantly reminded that this beats those dull old prayer meetings with those holier than thou Christians. The builder of this road took everything into consideration and he based its attraction on his knowledge of man’s desire for the easy life, the desire for more and better of the material things of life. The desire for a bigger home, a more expensive car, a career, successful business, power, money, all the things to appease that greedy nature. I have often wondered why it is that the conservatives are called the “right” and the liberals are called the “left.”  There is a verse in the Bible that will probably answer that question quite accurately it is;

1Timothy 6:9-10
9 People who want to get rich fall into temptation
and a trap and into many foolish and harmful
desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction.
10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.

Some people, eager for money, have wandered
from the faith and pierced themselves with many grief’s.

1Timothy 5:6

But the widow who lives for pleasure is dead even while she lives.

Ecclesiastes 5:10

Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever

loves wealth is never satisfied with his income.

Luke 12:19-21

19 And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid

up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink , and be merry.”‘

20 But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul

will be required of you; then whose will those things

             be which you have provided?’

21 “So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is

              not rich toward God.”

Those walking on this road have no fear of God or the future. There is no fear of an after life or a future judgment. They have been blinded and deceived by the god of this world and the father of all liars, Satan, into believing that there is no God to fear and if there is a God He is a God of Love and would never punish His children by sending them to a place called hell. Their mantra is Eat-Drink and be Merry for tomorrow we die.’ They are led to believe that the grave is the end and all will end up there so enjoy your life while you have it.

Here’s To You

Romans 3:18

“There is no Fear of God before their eyes.”

John 8:44

You belong to your father, the devil, and you

want to carry out your father’s desire. He was

a murderer from the beginning, not holding

to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When

he lies, he speaks his native language, for he

is a liar and the father of lies.

2 Peter 2:17-20

17 These men are springs without water and mists

driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved

             for them.

18 For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by

appealing to the lustful desires of sinful human

nature, they entice people who are just escaping

from those who live in error.

19 They promise them freedom, while they themselves

are slaves of depravity — for a man is a slave to

               whatever has mastered him.

This road was well designed, the smooth surface to walk on, the bright lights to beckon and entice, the individual pleasures of every description. All of that was purposely designed to lure the unwary, the immoral, the lustful, the crooked and the power hungry. It even entices the average, honest, hard working man who is just looking for a good life for himself and his family but has removed God from the program. No one gives any thought to what lies at the end of this road, but all roads come to an end eventually. No one asks where this road is going to end and most don’t want to know and don’t care. The words of a song seem to sum it all up – “Let the devil take tomorrow for tonight I need a friend.” Live for today for that is all we have. What a mistake, what a tragedy, what a lie they have bought into. Justification is their defense, everyone is doing it would be their excuse, I deserve a break in life would be their plea. They forget that it is very easy to miss something when you are not looking for it. The following scriptures describe those who are walking on the wide road that leads to eternal damnation in hell.

2 Timothy 3:2-4

2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of

             money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient

             to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,

3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without

self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,

4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure

             rather than lovers of God—

2 Peter 2:13-15

13 Their idea of pleasure is to carouse in broad day

light. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in

their pleasures while they feast with you.

          14 With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning;

they seduce the unstable; they are experts in greed,

an accursed brood!

It has been said that the road to hell is paved with good intentions. This maybe so but in the final analysis, in the end it will mean nothing. All that will matter is your answer to the following question,

“WHAT DID YOU DO WITH JESUS?” What will your answer be when Jesus calls you to the final appointment of your life?

Ezekiel 7:11-12

       11 Violence has grown into a rod to punish wickedness;

none of the people will be left, none of that crowd —

              no wealth, nothing of value.

12 The time has come, the day has arrived. Let not the

buyer rejoice nor the seller grieve, for wrath is upon

               the whole crowd.

Wide road – Narrow road – Your Choice.

Ecclesiastes 10:2
The heart of the wise man inclines to the right, but the
heart of the fool to the left.

Psalm 14:1
The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.”

2 Corinthians 5:10

For we must all appear before the Judgment Seat

of Christ , that each one may receive what is due him

for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life and only a few find it.

This other road, the narrow one, OH what a difference compared to the one we just described. A sign reads – ONE WAYThere are no side roads to turn off on and there are no detours. There are no bright neon lights, no alluring theaters or houses of ill-repute. The road is rough, there are many obstacles along the way to cause you to stumble and question why you are on this road. Most adults know that a smooth road can lull you to sleep which could be very dangerous. There are a few rugged mountains to climb and rivers to cross. Every obstacle and every mountain are there to hinder us, to delay us, to thwart our progress, to frustrate us and hopefully will cause us to focus on our dependence on the Lord to complete this journey. This is not of God but He allows it for out of all this comes perseverance, a stronger, more determined, more dedicated follower of Christ. The Bible tells us that we will suffer persecution but not to worry for it also tells us that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. This is the one who overcame the world, who fights our battles and gives us the victory. Jesus didn’t say it would be easy, He said it would be worth it.

When we lean to our own understanding we think we are walking in the right direction only to discover it was never God’s will for us to enter into that relationship, to make that business deal, to buy that expensive house and car. The examples could go on and on for they are limitless. As we walk that uncertain road we discover an amazing thing about our Lord. He can make the most crooked places straight. He has the ability to make whatever mistake we make to turn out right. There will be some consequences to those decisions, we have made but He will always allow these actions to work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Those mistakes can even contribute to our spiritual maturing and finding a greater wisdom in our lives if we learn from those mistakes.

Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for the

good of those who love Him and have been called

            according to His purpose

God’s omnipotence is always one step ahead of our incompetence. Don’t you think He knew you would make that mistake when He planned your life, absolutely? Isn’t it comforting to know you cannot plan God out of the equation of your life no matter how bad you mess up? He can and will always turn crooked places into straight places for those who have a humble and contrite spirit. Do you need a crooked place straightened out today? Ask Him to straighten out your crooked path so that you can walk in His perfect will for your life.

Isaiah 35:8

A highway shall be there, and a road and it shall be called

the Highway of Holiness .The unclean  shall not pass over

it, for it will be for those who walk in the Way.

Proverbs 3:5-6

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on

           your own understanding;

6 in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make

           your path straight.

Luke 3:5

The crooked roads shall become straight, the rough ways smooth.

 Matthew 16:24

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone would

come after Me, he must deny himself and take up

his cross daily and follow Me.

John 16:33

In this world you will have trouble. But take heart!

              I have overcome the world.”

1 John 5:4-5

4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This

is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.

5 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes

that Jesus is the Son of God.

1 John 4:4

You are of God, little children, and have overcome

them, because He who is in you is greater than he

             who is in the world.

Those who have chosen to walk on this narrow road do so because they have a definite purpose in life. They know what awaits them at the end of the road and they are determined to get there. The hand that is guiding them is the hand that will sustain them through every adversity. This road is called the Highway of Holiness and only the Blood bought saints of God can travel on it. They chose to walk this Way knowing it would not be easy, knowing there would be many obstacles to hinder their progress, knowing that it may even cost them their lives. Some would even have to walk this road alone for few there be that find it BUT they know that the strong right hand of their Savior is holding their hand and He will never lead them where His Grace cannot sustain them.

Isaiah 30:21

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your

ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This

is the way ; walk in it.”

On this road there will be no way around the snares of Satan, no way to avoid the obstacles, each one will have to be addressed; each one will have to be overcome. There will be only a few that will offer encouragement, to urge you on for this road is not crowded with people. But all of them will know and are assured that they are never alone and that someone who is closer than a brother is walking beside them. He may not be seen with the physical eye but our spirit bears witness that He is ever by our side. He will be our strength to push on, our guide to keep us on the straight and narrow way, our light in the darkness, our companion as we walk through the valley of the shadow of death. He has made us a promise to never leave us or forsake us and He will keep that promise. Who is this friend, this companion that promises so much? He is JESUS CHRIST God’s priceless gift to all mankind, His only begotten Son.

Isaiah 41:10

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed,

            for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you;

I will uphold you with My righteous right hand

Hebrews 13:5

Keep your lives free from the love of money and

be content with what you have, because God has

said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you .”

Before they started to walk on this narrow road each individual examined every option and came to the conclusion that whatever the cost to them personally they were willing to pay it. They knew that this unseen companion had walked this road before them. The world rejected Him, hated Him and then they killed Him, BUT, He arose from the dead, completed His journey and now sits at the right hand of all power and authority, His Father, God Almighty. He had overcome every obstacle, every hindrance put in His way and came forth victorious and He told us we would through Him be able to do the same.

Revelation 12:11

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb

and by the word of their testimony, and they did

not love their lives to the death.

Although this narrow road is long and sometimes very hard and difficult to walk on Jesus said it would be worth it. Those walking on it know they have a battle to fight, a battle which will claim many casualties and will continue until Jesus returns and they are willing to take it by force from their adversary Satan. Remember, Jesus said the battle was His not ours, the victory was ours.

Matthew 11:12

From the days of John the Baptist until now, the

Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing,

and forceful men lay hold of it.

2 Chronicles 20:15

This is what the LORD says to you: ‘Do not be

afraid or discouraged because of this vast army.

For the battle is not yours, it is God’s.

1 Corinthians 15:57
But thanks be to God, who gives US the VICTORY through our Lord  Jesus Christ.

Matthew 25:23

Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.

As I was researching this subject about our giving an account of our lives one day before God I came across the following article about a moment in the life of Daniel Webster one of America’s greatest statesman. It was so profound that I had to record it for all to read for I knew that some would appreciate the depth of this penetrating statement that he gave as an answer to a question posed to him. It was comprised of only four words, word’s that all need to heed, for everyone will one day have to give this very thing before Almighty God, ACCOUNTABILITY.’

The great American elder statesman Daniel Webster was to be the guest speaker at a luncheon being held for a group of young government leaders. The chairman of this group turned to him and said, Mr. Webster, What is the greatest thought that has ever passed through your head?” Quick as a flash Daniel Webster replied, My accountability to God.”

To be held responsible for ones actions.

To be held responsible for what has been entrusted to us.

To be held responsible for every careless word that has been uttered.

Romans 14:10

For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat.

Romans 14:12

So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.

Hebrews 4:13

Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight,

everything will be uncovered and laid bare before

the eyes of Him to whom we must give an account .

I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that his justice cannot sleep forever.
Thomas Jefferson

In the very beginning God gave Adam and Eve dominion over all of His creation. They where free to do what they wanted with everything even their own actions. But with this freedom He also told them there would be limits and what those limits would be. It wasn’t hard; only one thing was required of them, there was one tree they were told to stay away from, this was the tree of good and evil because and they were forbidden to eat of its fruit. He was not trying to withhold something from them; He was trying to protect them. He is doing the same thing for all of us today and He has in His infallible Word told us clearly what the freedoms and the boundaries are for us to carry out our obligations. He has given us the freedom to use this authority to enforce the decisions that will impact whether we will be successful or not in our lifetime. Once those freedoms and boundaries are established, this allows a healthy accountability to take place between us the created and our Creator. By our obedience both God and we His children would have a healthy expectation of each other. Has the Holy Spirit clearly defined your freedom and boundaries so that you know what is expected of you? If not you need to seek His guidance and council, if you do not do this you are setting yourself up for failure. We need to always remember that the boundaries have been established to protect us from ourselves and our arch enemy Satan. Then we can live without fear and evaluate our lives as to the accountability we will have to give before the Lord.

Ecclesiastes 3:15

That which is has already been, and what is to be

has already been; and God requires an account of

       what is past.

Job 31:14

What will I do when God confronts me? What

will I answer when I am called to give an account ?

I have just finished an exhausting and mentally tiring lesson on the final Two Judgments that are recorded in the Bible. They are the Judgment Seat of Christ and the Great White Throne Judgment. The reason for my doing this was the realization that so many professing Christians have so little if any knowledge of these coming judgments and what they will mean to each of us. As I searched through the Scriptures and read all those pertaining to these two events and as I put them together the conclusion I arrived at was eye opening as I contemplated what lies ahead for all who have ever lived on planet earth. Every person born on this planet will one day stand at one or the other of these two Judgments. Therefore, it is of the utmost importance for all of us to know that at this very moment, by using our own free will we are making the choice as to which one we will attend. The deciding factor will be; have we been Redeemed? Have we accepted God’s free gift of Salvation through the shed Blood of His Precious Son Jesus Christ? In other words have we been, ‘Born Again?’ This will determine which of the two we will appear at.

John 3:3

Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can

see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.

If a person is born only once by a natural birth and is not ‘Born Again’ the spiritual birth, they will stand before God at the Great White Throne Judgment. This judgment is where all the unsaved from the beginning of time will appear. If they are born twice, physically and spiritually, they will stand at the Judgment Seat of Christ for this judgment is only for those who are ‘Born Again.’

John 3:7

You should not be surprised at My saying,

        “You must be born again”.

All will give an account of their lives before the Great Eternal Judge, Jesus Christ, for He will be the judge, appointed by God to preside over both judgments and it will be either at the Judgment Seat of Christ or at the Great White Throne Judgment. Saint and sinner alike, it does not matter what they believe or do not believe about these judgments for they will be at one or the other. For some it will be a time of rejoicing and eternal rewards, for others it will be a time of sorrow and of hearing a sentence pronounced of eternal damnation.

Matthew 28:18

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority

In heaven and on earth has been given to Me.

John 5:22

Moreover, the Father judges no one, but He has

entrusted all judgment to the Son

At this point I want to give an important admonition! If you are reading this lesson then there is still time for you to be sure of which judgment you will attend, for it is your decision to make. In other words you have a second chance NOW to get things in your life right before God for soon there will be no second chances. At the time of the Rapture, the return of Jesus for the Body of Christ, no one will have the time to change their minds or their ways for it will be sudden, no warning. Or if you should die before the Rapture takes place you will go to your grave with no chance to change anything. Only those who are ‘Born Again’ will take part in the Rapture and will be at the Judgment Seat of Christ. All who are left behind will have to face the coming Great White throne Judgment. There they will give an Account before the Righteous Judge for the way they lived their lives here on earth and why they rejected His free gift of Salvation. Be Ready, He Coming is Soon.

1 Corinthians 15:51-52

51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep,

but we will all be changed—

52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last

trumpet. For the trumpet will sound and the dead

will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

16 For the Lord Himself will come down from

heaven, with a loud command, with the voice

of the archangel and with the trumpet call of

God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

17 After that, we who are still alive and are left

will be caught up together with them in the

clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so

we will be with the Lord forever.

18 Therefore encourage each other with these words.

Make no mistake about it; don’t kid yourself for no matter what the scoffers and jokers may say, all will be at one or the other of the two judgments. Each individual will by his or her on free will make the choice as to which one they will attend. This is one appointment where there will be no excuses accepted and nothing will keep you from keeping it, you will be there. God will not be mocked.

Galatians 6:7-8

7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for

whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh

reap destruction, but he who sows to the Spirit

will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

Luke 12:19-20

19 And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many

            goods laid up for many years; take your ease;

eat, drink , and be merry.”‘

20 But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul

             will be required of you;

“Hey, don’t worry man, we’ve heard all that foolishness before, enjoy yourself.”

2 Corinthians 5:1

For we must all appear before the Judgment

Seat of Christ, that each one may receive the

things done in the body, according to what we

have done, (our works) whether good or bad.

Revelation 14:13
Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Write:
‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’”

“Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors,

       and their works follow them.”

Revelation 20:11-12

11 Then I saw a great White Throne and Him who

was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from His

presence, and there was no place for them.

12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing

before the throne, and books were opened.

Another book was then opened, which is the

Book of Life. The dead were judged according

to what they had done as recorded in the books.

Deuteronomy 18:19

If anyone does not listen to My words that the

prophet speaks in My name, I Myself will call

               him to give account.

Matthew 12:36-37

36 But I tell you that men will have to give account

on the Day of Judgment for every careless word

                they have spoken.

37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by

your words you will be condemned.”

1 Peter 4:5

But they will have to give account to Him who is

ready to judge the living and the dead.

The people of the world have been going merrily along their way in their pursuit of the world’s material and personal pleasures. All the time mocking and laughing at the Christians who desire to be faithful to their God and realize to be a friend of the world is to be at enmity with God. They do not know and do not want to know that the end is near. Many are going to be shocked when the realization hits them that the time has come and they are going to have to face God’s Son, Jesus Christ, who is going to judge the entire world. Death will be no escape for everyone who has ever lived will give an account of the deeds done while living here on this earth. God is moving this present world order to the final end, the count down has already begun and the word to the wise is-Be Ready.

Matthew 24:44

So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man

will come at an hour when you do not expect Him.

134) Appendix to Fear of God – Obedience – Love

As I have studied and read other material concerning the Fear of God I have had to adjust my thinking to include other thoughts that I now agree with and probably always did but had not put them together as they should have been. I have written separate lessons on Love, Obedience and the Fear of God but have never linked them together as they should have been. When we are walking uprightly before God, walking in the Spirit and are meditating on His Word we will come to the realization through Scripture that the three; the Fear of God, Obedience and Love are compatible, they are relevant to each other. You cannot have one without the other two because they are inseparable. By this I mean if you truly have the Fear of God within you then you will be Obedient and obey His every command and when you obey you show that you truly Love Him according to His own words. A constant problem among many Christians is that they do not take the Word of God seriously; they fail to understand that God said what He meant and meant what He said. Many will disagree with this line of thought and quote as their defining point this one Scripture,

2 Timothy 1:7

For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but

of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

No disputing it, this is absolutely true; we are not given a spirit of fear, fear of man, fear of the unknown future, the kind of fear that makes us afraid of the darkness because we don’t know what it hides. We do not learn this kind of fear it is inherent within us. The Fear of God is something we learn, something we are taught and we are to seek for and when we do we will then find the wisdom and knowledge of God. The Fear of God is taught in and through out the Bible and yet many still refuse to acknowledge this and will not open their bibles to seek the truth. We need to understand and find the Fear of God for our personal lives which then lead to a life of Obedience which then shows our Love for Him. The following list of Scriptures will bear this out and as you read them remind yourself that their source is from God Himself. As you open the Word and read them, and contemplate on them and allow the Holy Spirit to open the Word to your mind and heart He will lead you into all truth.

John 16:13

But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide

you into all truth. He will not speak on His own; He will

speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is

      yet to come.

Psalm 147:11

“The Lord takes pleasure in those who Fear Him.” We please Him when we Fear Him.

Deuteronomy 5:29

Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to      When we Fear Him we Obey Him.

Fear Me and keep all My commands always,

John 14:15

If you love Me, you will obey what I command.   When we Obey we show our Love.

Psalm 34:11

Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the

     Fear of the LORD.

Psalm 147:11

The LORD delights in those who Fear Him, who put

their hope in His unfailing Love.

Psalm 112:1

Blessed is the man who Fears the LORD, who finds

    great delight in His commands.

Proverbs 2:4-5

4 If you look for it as for silver and search for it as for

    hidden treasure,

5 then you will understand the Fear of the LORD and

   find the Knowledge of God.

Proverbs 1:7

The Fear of the LORD is the beginning of Knowledge,

Proverbs 9:10

“The Fear of the LORD is the beginning of Wisdom,

Isaiah 33:6

He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich

store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the

Fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure.

Romans 3:18

“There is no Fear of God before their eyes.”

Hebrews 12:28

Therefore, since we are receiving a Kingdom

which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by

which we may serve God acceptably with

       reverence and Godly Fear.

Ecclesiastes 12:13

Now that all has been heard; here is the conclusion

of the matter: Fear God and keep His commandments,

for this is the whole [duty] of man.

1 Samuel 15:22

To Obey is better than sacrifice,

John 9:4

As long as it is day, we must do the work of Him who

sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work

Romans 16:19

Everyone has heard about your Obedience, so I am

          full of joy over you;

1John 2:3-5

3 We know that we have come to know Him if we Obey His commands.

4 The man who says, “I know Him,” but does not do

what He commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

5 But if anyone Obeys His word, God’s love is truly made

complete in him. This is how we know we are in Him:

1 Samuel 12:15

But if you do not Obey the LORD, and if you rebel against

His commands, His hand will be against you,

Jeremiah 7:23

I gave them this command: Obey Me, and I will be your

God and you will be My people. Walk in all the ways I

command you that it may go well with you.

John 15:14

You are My friends if you do what I command.

John 14:23

If anyone loves Me, he will Obey My word.

John 14:15

“If you love Me, you will, obey what I command.”

John 14:21

Whoever has My commands and Obeys them, he

is the one who loves Me.

John 14:23

Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me

he will Obey My word; and My Father will love him

and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

John 15:10

If you Obey My commands, you will remain in My love,

just as I have Obeyed My Father’s commands and

        remain in His love.

2 John 6

And this is love: that we walk in Obedience to His

commands. As you have heard from the beginning,

His command is that you walk in love.

A few years ago a group of salesmen went to a regional sales convention in Chicago.  They had assured their wives that they would be home in plenty of time for Friday night’s dinner. Well, as such things go, one thing led to another. The sales manager went longer than anticipated and the meeting ran overtime. Their flights were scheduled to leave out of Chicago’s O’Hare Airport, and they had to race frantically to the airport. With tickets in hand, they barged through the terminal to catch their flight back home. In their rush one of these salesmen unintentionally kicked over a table which held a display with baskets of apples for sale. The apples flew everywhere. Without stopping or looking back, they all managed to reach the plane in time for their nearly-missed boarding.

All but one of them, he paused, took a deep breath, got in touch with his feelings, and experienced a twinge of compassion for the young girl whose apple stand had been overturned. He told his buddies to go on without him, waved goodbye, told one of them to call his wife when they arrived at their home destination and explain his taking a later flight.  Then he returned to the terminal where the apples were all over the terminal floor. He was glad he did. The young girl was totally blind! She was softly crying, tears running down her cheeks in frustration, and at the same time helplessly groping for the spilled apples as the crowd swirled about her; no one stopping to help, and no one to care for her plight. They where so busy with their own lives and problems that they could not see and feel for someone in need.

The salesman knelt on the floor with her, gathered up the apples, put them into the baskets, and helped set the display up once more. As he did this he noticed that many of them had become battered and bruised; these he set aside in another basket. When he had finished, he pulled out his wallet and said to the girl, “Here, please take this $20 for the damage we did.  Are you okay?”  She nodded through her tears.  He continued on with, I hope we didn’t spoil your day too badly.” As the salesman started to walk away, the bewildered blind girl called out to him, Mister.…” He paused and turned to look back into those blind eyes. She continued, Are you Jesus? He stopped in mid-stride, for the question startled him and caused him to start wondering. Then slowly he made his way to catch the later flight with that question burning and turning about in his soul: “ARE YOU JESUS

MISTER - Are you Jesus?

Do people mistake you for Jesus? OH WHAT A MISTAKE’ That should be our destiny, should it not? To be so much like Jesus that people cannot tell the difference as we live and interact with a world that is blind to His  life, love and grace. Jesus always had time to stop and help others as He went about doing good. If we claim to know Him, we should live, walk and act as He would. Many know about Him but sadly few really know Him for knowing Him is more than simply saying you do and quoting Scripture and going to church. It is actually living the Word as life unfolds around us and through us day to day. We are the apple of His eye even though we, too, have been bruised by a fall. Thank God that one day Jesus willingly stopped what He was doing to picked us up, bruised and beaten down by sin and met our needs. He willingly paid the price to redeem us from the fall. He did this by hanging on a cruel Cross on a hill called Golgotha and with His precious life blood He paid in full for our damaged fruit. Let’s start living like we are worth the price He paid. AMEN?

John 13:35

By this all will know that you are My disciples,

if you have love for one another.

1 Corinthians 13:13

And now these three remain: Faith, Love and Hope. But the greatest of these is Love.

Ecclesiastes 12:13

Now that all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God keep (OBEY) His commandments. For this is the whole [duty] of man.

John 16:13

But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will

guide you into all truth . He will not speak on

His own; He will speak only what He hears, and

He will tell you what is yet to come.

I realize that this lesson when viewed by many will be immediately rebuked as non-scriptural or hard to accept because of our presuppositions. With this in mind I still want to put forth this truth which I believe the Holy Spirit has shown, not only to me but to others as well. Many well intentioned people are prone to leap upon what they perceive as a truth and then try to wrap it up or package it with their own understanding to fit their personal theology, which could be a big mistake. They use what they perceive as the truth to inflate before others their knowledge of the scriptures by confronting them with it before actually praying about it or researching and reflecting on it in their own lives. This is done through pride or the carnal flesh or even with well intentioned reasons. God’s Truth can be unintentionally modified when it is communicated to others by those various reasons. It then becomes ineffective when it is presented in the finite understanding of men instead of by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. So with no intentions of drawing attention to myself I desire to present this lesson humbly and with the one desire above all others and that is to let all see more of JESUS and less of me. If nothing else it will be a topic of discussion for those who desire to search the Scriptures for Truth and I say once again it is my opinion.

There is a cost to pay for telling the TRUTH. There is a price to pay in your personal and in your professional life for sharing the Whole Truth of God’s Word, the Whole Council of God with family, friends, co-workers and business acquaintances. Sometimes that price can be as high as your very life. We have numerous Biblical examples of those who gave their very lives for telling the Uncompromised Truth. Throughout the history of the Church, men and women of God have willingly given their very lives for the Truth, but it is a price well worth paying!

What do you think is stopping Christians from making a bigger impact on this present world?

What is stopping the Church, the Christian Community from making a greater impact on their present world? There are various reason and most of them are correct or have some validity. One of the more troubling reasons is the failure of ministers to preach the WHOLE Truth, the Whole Council of God. Presenting the Whole Truth without compromise is not popular in many religious circles today. The Gospel being preached today is a “feel good, happy” half-gospel being offered and those who buck the trend and offer messages laced with words such as “sin, hell judgment, holiness, Satan, and repentance” are commonly viewed as narrow minded, old-fashioned or out dated. Actually, the preaching of the whole, Biblical view of the Gospel, with all of its convicting themes, never has been popular with those who are worldly minded. What is different today than in times past is that yesterday’s Evangelicals were primarily interested in winning souls and then building them into strong, righteous disciples. In our day, however, many have decided to market themselves in such a way as to engage in a sort of popularity contest. This is symptomatic of the last days. Doesn’t it make sense that, if one is attempting to use marketing techniques like we’re seeing now, sermons pertaining to repentance, to righteousness living and surrendering all – let alone sin and hell – wouldn’t be considered? These themes are from a bygone era and are considered counterproductive to the prevailing wisdom of today’s teachers of church growth.

The church as a whole has splintered into hundreds of denominations, each one going there own way and because of this their impact on society as a whole has greatly diminished. If they cannot agree on what they believe or what they espouse how do we think the world as a whole will put any faith in what they say. The churches have been trying very hard to come up with ways that will interest or change the minds of those they seek to reach. But their worldview has been so diluted and they have grown so timid and sensitive of offending someone, afraid of being politically correct or persecuted that their voices have been muted. I believe that the church is being undermined from within; the enemy is not only within, it is being welcomed and accepted. One of the greatest dangers is that the church as a whole has abandoned sound doctrine and consequently they have lost their saltiness, they no longer teach the whole council of God. They preach that God is a God of Love but forgets to teach that He is also a God of Judgment. We are living in the days of the last day church which is called the Luke Warm Church, a church that wants to please and entertain and tell the people what they want to hear to make them feel good. It has lost the vision, the heavenly call to reap the last day harvest while it is still day. Some call it the Emerging Church.

Matthew 5:13

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.

2 Peter 2:1-2

1 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them — bringing swift destruction on themselves .

2 Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute.

Revelation 3:15-16

15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!

16 So, because you are lukewarm — neither hot nor cold — I am about to spit you out of My mouth.

he Christian church as a whole has become largely irrelevant in today’s world. It has lost its zeal, its urgency, its purpose. It has lost both its salt and its light and has surrendered its message of hope, its witness to the saving Grace of the precious blood of Jesus Christ and of His imminent return for His  Blood washed church, His Bride. The changes that are seen by the world –at – large are changes that have made the church fashionably acceptable, inoffensive and an institution that offers the hope of monetary gain. This is called the emerging  church and it is very popular in today’s me first generation. This indicates that the church has lost its way and is headed in the wrong direction based on its upside-down belief system and its lack of spiritual growth. In short, the church’s salt has lost its savor, its power to reach the lost with the whole truth and it no longer teaches the whole council of God. It now teaches a fashionable, social gospel of prosperity. No longer do the lost hear about sin, repentance, hell and the judgment of God, the sole purpose for the church is to make people feel happy and good about themselves.

Proverbs 14: 12

There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.

Mark 9:50

Salt is good, but if the salt loses its flavor,

how will you season it? Have salt in yourselves,

and have peace with one another.”

1 Thessalonians 2:3-5

3 For our exhortation did not come from error or uncleanness, nor was it in deceit.

4But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts.

5 For neither at any time did we use flattering words, as you know, nor a cloak for covetousness — God is our witness.

In 2010, the Christian faith is now considered by most to be “narrow minded,” “biased” a faith that is “against” everything. In many nations the Christian faith is now seen as “extreme and intolerant.” This has been an effective way the non-believing world has found to silence and intimidate the  Believers and keep them out of the daily marketplace where the people gather each day. Sadly it has worked! Why are we called extreme? The answer lies in the fact that we believe the Bible to be God’s inspired, inerrant, infallible Word. It represents Absolute Truth and it is our final authority in all matters and that Jesus Christ is the only way to God. It is the ONLY Truth accepted by Christians and is based on that Word of God. Because of this belief it makes all of the other religions, belief systems and philosophies false. Based on God’s Infallible Word, It means that those who deny that Jesus Christ is the only way to God are eternally lost and will go to hell. I’m not the one who calls all of the other religions and philosophies in the world false, God is! I’m not the one who has determined who will go to Heaven or hell, God has already done that!

John 14:6

Jesus answered, “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life.

No one comes to the Father except through Me.

I get sad when I hear not only the unbelievers but Believers say, “Who are you to call someone else’s religion false? Who are you to tell someone that they will be going to hell if they don’t go your way?” We don’t say it GOD DID!

That is the Whole Counsel of God’ and it is not fashionable and is totally rejected by the organized or the emerging church of today. It is to be preached regardless of who does or doesn’t want to hear it. It is better that people are offended and hear the truth than to hear a lie and go to hell. It is to be preached regardless of the cost of losing friends, fame or fortune. This is the SALT we believers are to present to a dying, sinful world and when we are not faithfully declaring it our Salt loses its flavor

Acts 20:26-27

26 Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men.

27 For I have not shunned to declare to you the Whole Counsel of God.

.Because this world we live in has rejected God, the Truth of the Bible, and faith in Jesus Christ, and we as believers have stood by and said and done nothing they have been successful in labeling Christians as extreme. Just 50 years ago, Christianity was considered mainstream but in a single generation it has gone from being mainstream to extreme. It is a faith that has gone from being loved to reviled, accepted to ridiculed. How did that happen? The answer stands out very clearly from compromising spiritual leaders to timid easily silenced believers! The flock is only as good as their shepherd. There are too many pastors and those God called to spiritual leadership who are compromising their calling by denying the Truth of the Bible or by getting caught up in the material blessings offered by the world. They are building their own little kingdoms and fashionable up-scale churches that are non-offensive to all comers instead of God’s Kingdom.

So is it any wonder why so many men and women who profess to knowing the Lord go to work, go to school, go shopping, who face people every day out in the world, and will NEVER admit to being a Christian, let alone take a stand for Christ and the Truth of the Bible! They are petrified at being called intolerant, hateful, and extreme, a bigot, and ridiculed, scorned, and abused for being a follower of Christ and standing up for the Truth of God’s Word in a group of non-believers. So they simply remain silent! We have to wonder why sinners who serve Satan are so bold and vocal in declaring their lies and what they believe while the children of God who possess the only Truth that can save a dying, sin sick world sit back and remain silent. Is there a price to pay for speaking up for Christ? The hard reality is that just few of God’s faithful are willing to pay that price. So why should we be surprised that we now live in a world that mocks our faith, ridicules us for our beliefs, and continue to do everything they can to eliminate God, the Bible, and our Lord from even being mentioned in the public square! Look at what happened to Paul for taking his stand for the Lord. He was nearly killed many times before being martyred. He was thrown into jail.

He was despised and hated everywhere he went. This did not stop him for he understood that it wasn’t him they hated, it was his Lord Jesus Christ. Just look back at the Old Testament prophets, same thing. The people hated them because the message they delivered was from God and they didn’t hesitate to declare it but the world did not want to hear it. We can look back in time at what happened to Steven, a spirit filled young man as recorded in the book of Acts chapter 7. They literally stoned him to death for he was not afraid to declare the Whole truth of Gods Word. Many countless men and women since that time are literally dying for their faith! Is there a price to pay for speaking up and declaring the Whole Council of God? Yes and the simple fact is, most won’t pay it even though Jesus paid it all for them!!! That is why the Bible says the SALT has lost its flavor.

Luke 14:34-35

34 Salt is good; but if the salt has lost its flavor,

               how shall it be seasoned?

35 It is neither fit for the land nor for the dunghill,

but men throw it out. He who has ears to hear,

               let him hear!”

The word salt is used throughout the Bible and is commonly thought to mean the preserving, purifying or flavoring of our speech or our use of the Word of God. Or to represent the things we say or the character of our lives presented for the world to see. If we are to use the common opinion as to what salt means we would say that our speech should always include things that will bless those we talk to. That the words we use would be tasteful, words that preserve and are careful to say only the good things from the Word of God to the person we are talking to or the people we are talking about. What should concern us the most should be the high calling of Jesus Christ on our lives and His end-time work and the part we are to play in developing a holy, righteous character that will be pleasing to God. We are told to  have our speech, our conversation full of God’s Grace  and our witness salted with the whole council of God. This is the key phrase, The Whole Council of God.’ This means that we are not only to witness to the Grace and Love of God but we also need to tell the lost that God is also a God of Justice. If we don’t warn the lost that there is a hell to gain by not excepting God’s Saving Grace then our salt loses its savor, its flavor and is good for nothing.

Colossians 4:6

Let your conversation be always full of

grace, seasoned with salt , so that you

may know how to answer everyone.

Declaring the Whole Counsel of God

Matthew 5:13

You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt

loses its saltiness, its flavor, how can it be

made salty again? It is no longer good for

anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.

How can salt lose its saltiness, its flavor? We are all familiar with salt and what it tastes like and what it adds to our food and because of this we assume that the word salt in the Bible means to preserve and it represents the good things that come from God’s Word. There is an old saying about assuming things that I wont quote at this time but it implies that it is foolish to assume anything if you don’t know the facts about some particular thing. This applies to the use of salt and its meaning in the Scriptures. The following Scriptures when read carefully and prayerfully will clearly show that salt is used in reference to the curse and judgment of God. This is a total departure from the common consensus of the use of the word salt. by believers. It is one that most Bible readers have never given a thought to but is spelled out in God’s Word as being associated with the curse and the judgment of God. Our conversation should always declare the Grace and Love of God and should also be seasoned with the Salt that declares He is also a God of Judgment and His judgment will not be held back.

Genesis 19:26

But Lot’s wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt .(Judgment)

Deuteronomy 29:23

The whole land will be a burning waste of salt and sulfur — nothing

planted, nothing sprouting, no vegetation growing on it. It will be

will be like the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah,

Genesis 19:24-25

24 Then the LORD rained down burning sulfur

on Sodom and Gomorrah — from the LORD

            out of the heavens.

25 Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire

plain, including all those living in the cities

and also the vegetation in the land.

Along with the judgment on Lot’s wife there is the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah which was leveled to a barren wasteland of salt and sulfur. A clear reference to the curse and judgment of God poured out on all those who rebel, reject and refuse to Fear God. Then we have Abimelech destroying the city of Shechem and its entire population and the spreading of salt over the entire destroyed city. That is another reference to salt dealing with death and destruction and then we read of Ezekiel’s prophecy and the swamps and marshes made useless because of salt. Again we read of God’s anger as recorded in the Book of Zephaniah of His wrath being poured out on two cities likened to Sodom and Gomorrah which are leveled to a wasteland of weeds and salt pits forever. Clearly these references do not represent God’s blessings.

Judges 9:45

Then he destroyed the city and scattered salt over it.

Ezekiel 47:11

But the swamps and marshes will not

become fresh; they will be left for salt.

Zephaniah 2:9

Therefore, as surely as I live,” declares

the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel,

surely Moab will become like Sodom,

the Ammonites like Gomorrah – a place

of weeds and salt pits, a wasteland forever.

We will now consider other verses concerning salt being used in the Old Testament sacrifices. This is where God insists that all offerings burnt and otherwise must include salt. Ezekiel goes on to tell the people that they are to offer sacrifices with no defects, they are instructed to sprinkle them with salt and then burn them as a burnt offering. It is believed by many scholars that these sacrifices represent the sacrifice of Jesus upon the cross where He had to bear our sins and suffer the wrath of God. Here again the salt is associated with the wrath of God. We can see here that these verses and the previous verses put together bear out the fact that salt is associated with the curse and the Judgment of God and not with blessings as we so commonly hear. We are to use the salt we have within us to make the Word of God complete for if we do not our salt will lose its purpose and it will be useless, good for nothing.

Leviticus 2:13

Season all your grain offerings with salt.

Do not leave the salt of the covenant of

             your God out of your grain offerings;

add salt to all your offerings.

Ezekiel 43:24

You are to offer them before the LORD,

and the priests are to sprinkle salt on

them and then sacrifice them as a burnt

              offering to the LORD.

Galatians 3:13

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the

law by becoming a curse for us, for it is

written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung

             on a tree.”

What we read in the previous verses are the reasons why the common accepted rational claims that the word salt as used in the Bible means only good things. It tells us that our conversations should always be full of Grace and that it should be seasoned with salt. What does that mean? What part of our conversation should be considered Grace and what part is for the salt? There is a new Gospel sweeping around the world today and a good example of it is found in America, a country that was founded on the Judeo-Christian way of thinking and living. This new gospel is called the Social Gospel or the emerging church This is a gospel that offends no one and is free from all negative words and thinking and only positive words and thoughts are expressed. The art of positive thinking was made popular many years ago by a man named Norman Vincent Peal, but it has only invaded the churches in recent years. I personally saw and listened to an interview that was being held on national TV between the pastor of one of the largest churches, member wise, in the United States, and a national commentator. The question that caught my attention and interest me above all the others was as follows, “Pastor, what do you consider the main reason for the extraordinary growth of your church?”” His answer assured me that we are living in the last days of the church. He said that in his church he never mentions negative things such as sin, hell, repentance or of the coming wrath of God. He said my people come in with the cares and burdens of everyday life and they leave up-lifted, feeling happy about themselves and their lot in life. His salt has lost its savor and is no longer any good for the saving of lost souls.

Why do you think churches like this flourish numerically, materially and financially when the majority of churches today that are preaching the Whole Council of God are just barely holding their own? Could it be because of spineless Evangelists, Preachers, Teachers, and Christian Lay People who have become intimidated and afraid that they will offend someone if they pronounced the Whole Council of God? These are people that have been blinded by the God of this world and by materialism. In today’s world to tell anyone that there is only one way to God and that way is the only way to Salvation and that Way is Jesus Christ, will be branded intolerant and narrow minded.  It will bring a torrent of the criticism and accusations. Accusations that you are a bigot, racist, narrow minded, homophobic and all the other names that they can come up with. It will even be a reason for the small numbers in these churches that preach the whole truth. Now please try to follow what I am about to say that I consider logic. Those we have just read about are those whose salt has lost its savor.  Remember, we are not the ones who say there is only one way to receive Salvation and only one way to the Father, that man has sinned and there is a place called Hell, it is His infallible Word that declares it. It comes down to this, you either believe the Bible is God’s Word or you don’t. As professing followers of Jesus Christ we have no alternative but to believe that it is God’s Infallible Word and we must at all cost speak and declare the Whole  Council of God, leaving nothing out for the sake of men’s souls, God’s justice will not be held back forever.

John 14:6

Jesus answered, “I am the Way and the Truth and the life.

No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Acts 4:12

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name

under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”

2 Corinthians 5:11

         Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men;

Proverbs 14:25

A truthful witness saves lives, but a false witness is deceitful.

Isaiah 58:1

Shout it aloud, do not hold back. Raise your voice like a trumpet.

Declare to My people their rebellion and the house of Jacob their sins.

This I submit to you is my opinion of a conversation or a testimony that is not seasoned with salt. For our conversation to be seasoned with salt it has to be salted with the Whole Counsel of God. This means that those who are preached too or witnessed to have to hear both sides of God’s character. The Bible tells us that God – Is  Love – the Social Gospel stops there, but the Bible does not, for it tells us clearly in many places that He is also a – God of Justice. Justice is the authority and power to uphold what is right and just and lawful and to reward or penalize as deserved. What does all that mean? It means that our conversation our witness will not only tell people about Gods love but also about His Justice. The salting is telling the whole truth, which means the bad along with the good, that God is a God of love but that there is a penalty to be paid for rejecting or for disobeying His Laws. The salt therefore is telling the people what they need to hear not just what they want to hear, both the good news and the bad news. It is for this reason so many who come to Jesus fall by the wayside because no one tells them there is a cost, a price to pay to follow Him. The salt in the testimony of many churches has lost its savor, it is no longer good for anything but to be trampled under foot.

2 Timothy 3:12

Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ

          Jesus will suffer persecution

Matthew 16:24-25

24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone would

come after Me, he must deny himself and take up

             his cross and follow Me.

25 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but

whoever loses his life for Me will find it.

Mark 4:15-17

15 Some people are like seed along the path, where

the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan

comes and takes away the word that was sown

              in them.

16 Others, like seed sown on rocky places, hear the

word and at once receive it with joy.

17 But since they have no root, they last only a short

time. When trouble or persecution comes because

of the word, they quickly fall away.

In this context we cannot allow ourselves to be swayed by the new definition of tolerance, the fear of offending someone. We are not called to tickle their ears but to tell them the Truth. Which of the following would you say is preferable? Tell them the truth and take the chance of offending them, or to delete the Whole Truth and condemn them to Hell?  We then can say that salt is associated with the curse and wrath of God. Jesus loved people so much that He had to tell them the whole truth about their eternal souls. This truth is the Whole Council of God which says that anyone who does not come to Jesus by faith will when they die spend eternity in a place called Hell. We must be bold for we are God’s Ambassadors, His representatives on earth and we must tell the lost that sin is sin and if you are in bondage to a life of sin it will eventually destroy you. This represents the Salt in a believers spiritual life and when it is not used it will loses its savor and will be a detriment to their life in Christ.

2 Timothy 4:3-4

3 For the time will come when men will not

put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit

their own desires, they will gather around

them a great number of teachers to say what

their itching ears want to hear.

4 They will turn their ears away from the truth

          and turn aside to myths.

Salt does not lose its chemical components; it never loses its flavor or savor. It will always taste like salt or it isn’t salt. There is no physical counterpart to salt losing its savor, we either have salt or we do not. So it is safe to say that when the salt the Bible says is within us loses its savor we have lost our salt. Consider this, the salt deposits in some of the salt mines where most of our salt comes from are thousands of years old yet they still maintain their savor, their salty taste. When the Scriptures tell us that salt when it loses its flavor is useless it means that when the salt within us, our conversation or testimony fails to declare the whole Council of God it becomes useless to the Kingdom of God. The Apostle Paul made it clear that he did not hesitate to declare to everyone the Whole Council of God and was able to say that he was innocent of the blood of all men. We read in the Book of Ezekiel a very stern warning from God to those who do not sprinkle their witness with salt. These are those who do not warn the lost that God is a God of love but that He is also a God of Judgment and that His wrath will fall on all those who disregard His warning. Their salt has lost its savor and is good for nothing and God will hold the blood of the lost against those who do not tell them of the two sides of our God.

Ezekiel 3:17-19

17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman

for the house of Israel; so hear the word I

speak and give them warning from Me.

18 When I say to a wicked man, ‘You will surely

die,’ and you do not warn him or speak out

to dissuade him from his evil ways in order

to save his life, that wicked man will die for

his sin, and I will hold you accountable for

           his blood.

19 But if you do warn the wicked man and he

does not turn from his wickedness or from

his evil ways, he will die for his sin; but you

           will have saved yourself.

Acts 20:26-27

26 Therefore I testify to you this day that I am

innocent of the blood of all men.

27 For I have not shunned to declare to you the

        whole counsel of God.

2 Thessalonians 1:7-10

7 This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed

from heaven in blazing fire with His powerful angels.

8 He will punish those who do not know God and do

not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

9 They will be punished with everlasting destruction

and shut out from the presence of the Lord and

from the majesty of His power

We are to witness to God’s Redeeming love and also to the penalty for rejecting this love and His standing offer of Salvation through the shed Blood of His Son. That is how we salt our conversation. To do otherwise is to make our salt lose its savor or flavor, which means that our conversation, our witness becomes useless to the Kingdom of God and to those we speak to. We need to use the salt within us so that it does not lose its flavor. The Bible uses words from the physical world regarding salt, common words that we are familiar with in our everyday experience. The words are so common to us that we are easily influenced and misunderstand there meaning in a way that is not obvious to us. But the Bible uses them in a way that should cause us to look for the spiritual understanding, a spiritual meaning for them with a comparison that we can understand. It is the Holy Spirit who brings these truths to us as we seek Him to open God’s infallible Word to our minds and feed us with the Bread of Life. We need to be careful to lean not on our own understanding.

Proverbs 3:5

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not

        on your own understanding;

Mark 9:49-50

49 “For everyone will be seasoned with fire, and

every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt.

50 Salt is good, but if the salt loses its flavor,

how will you season it? Have salt in yourselves,

and have peace with one another.”

Luke 14:34-35

34 Salt is good; but if the salt has lost its flavor,

               how shall it be seasoned?

35 It is neither fit for the land nor for the dunghill, but

men throw it out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

Isaiah 30:18

For the LORD is a God of Justice.

Hebrews 10:31

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

We can reach the conclusion then from Scriptures like Mark 9:50 where it says, have salt in yourselves, that the salt is good because it is found in us Christians. It is good only because the Christian does something with the salt that makes it good, makes it worthwhile. We then can say that if the salt loses its savor we as Christians have lost our salt. The Bible uses words from our physical understanding to get us to see the spiritual meaning, the spiritual analogy of what the salt is. This meaning must be that our witness, our conversation must include the Wrath and Judgment of God as well as His Love and Mercy. We need to have the courage and the wisdom to talk to unbelievers about the Grace of God and also to help them to see that until they repent they are under the curse of God. Therefore when we witness we must be sure not to neglect the truth about the wrath of God that is coming on all unbelievers. What more needs to be said, there is more that can be said but I believe that what has been said is enough to at least raise the curiosity of anyone to research this on their own and form their own conclusion as to whether there is any merit to what has been said.

Hebrews 4:12

For the Word of God is living and powerful, and

sharper than any two-edged sword , piercing even

to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and

marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and

             intents of the heart.

The Word of God is a two edged sword, it cuts both ways and can divide the soul from the spirit. So as the verse in Colossians 4:6 tells us our conversation, our speech; our witness must be seasoned with salt and faithful to the Whole Counsel of  God.  It is then that God will make us vessel through which He will use our salty witness to turn people around and point them to the Savior Jesus Christ and away from their hell bound destructive ways.  Jesus Himself many times in His speaking to the masses had words of condemnation for those who were enemies of the Cross. His speech was filled with love and mercy for the lost but it was also salted with words of God’s wrath and of hell. A witness that is faithful to the Whole Council of God is a witness whose testimony is salted with the words of condemnation as well as words of encouragement. The Holy Spirit will guide us in our use of words as we witness so that we will be effective. Those are words that God will use to point the lost to the true light that they might be saved. Therefore, salt that has lost its savor is the salt within the believer that is not used and because of this it has lost its savor and has become useless. Therefore it behooves us to strive to be faithful stewards of the Word of God and to declare the Whole Council of God and to make sure that our witness, our conversation, out teaching and preaching are always sprinkled ‘WITH AN ABUNDANCE OF LOVE AND GRACE, ‘SEASONED WITH SALT’ which is the WHOLE COUNSIL OF GOD.

Colossians 4:6

Let your conversation be always full of

grace, seasoned with salt , so that you

may know how to answer everyone.

          Jude 23

Snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear.

132) Four Suppers:

Supper of SalvationLuke 14: 15-24

Lord’s SupperMatthew 26:26-29 / Luke 22:14-23

Marriage Supper of the LambRevelation 19:9

Great Supper of GodRevelation 19:17

Supper of Salvation:

Luke 14:15-24

15 And when one of them that sat at meat with

Him heard these things, He said unto him,

Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the

             Kingdom of God.

16 But he said unto him, A certain man made

a great supper; and he invited many:

17 and he sent forth his servant at supper

time to say to them that were bidden,

Come; for (all) things are now ready.

18 And they all with one (consent) began to

make excuses. The first said unto him,

I have bought a field, and I must needs

go out and see it; I pray thee have me

19 And another said, I have bought five yoke

of oxen, and I go to prove them; I pray thee

             have me excused.

20 And another said, I have married a wife,

             and therefore I cannot come.

21 And the servant came, and told his lord

these things. Then the master of the

house being angry said to his servant,

Go out quickly into the streets and lanes

of the city, and bring in hither the poor

and maimed and blind and lame.

22 And the servant said, Lord, what thou

didst command is done, and yet there is

23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out

into the highways and hedges, and constrain

(them) to come in, that My house may be

24 For I say unto you, that none of those men

that were bidden shall taste of My supper.

At the very beginning Almighty God communed daily with the first born of men. He walked and talked with Adam each day. There was a special, intimate relationship between the two as a Father with his son. This relationship was broken by the sin that Adam and Eve committed and a curse was put on mankind and all of creation. But God was not willing to let this separation last forever. In His great wisdom and love He already had a plan to bring man back into this loving relationship once again, this time it would be forever. So here we read in these verses were a great supper was being prepared and the Master sent His servants out to invite everyone to attend this great event. All was prepared, the invitation was given but those invited began to make excuses why they couldn’t attend. So it is today, the invitation is still being offered but it will soon be rescinded, the offer of Salvation will be withdrawn. Today is the day of Salvation for all who will partake of this great supper God has prepared. The original guests were excluded from this event because of their rejection of the invitation. Then the invitation went out to the who-so-ever will, rich, poor, the crippled, the blind, all who accept His invitation are welcome. This is not the Marriage Supper of the Lamb for that is only for all those who have accepted and attend the Great Supper of Salvation. The Marriage Supper will take place after the saints have been Raptured.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that He gave

His only begotten Son, that whosoever

believeth in Him should not perish, but

            have everlasting life.

Lords Supper:

Luke 22:17-20

17 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said

          “Take this and divide it among yourselves;

18 for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit

of the vine until the Kingdom of God comes.”

19 And He took bread, gave thanks and broke

it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My

body which is given for you; do this in

             remembrance of Me.”

20 Likewise He also took the cup after supper,

saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My

blood, which is shed for you.

This is also called Holy Communion. This is an ordinance of the church which is to be observed on a regular basis by all who believe in Jesus Christ and whose lives are upright before Him. The cup of wine represents His shed blood and the bread represents His body that was broken for us. We observe it in remembrance of His Crucifixion. Only the Redeemed of the Lord have a right to take part in this the Lord’s Supper. To do so unworthily is to bring upon them the judgment of God.

1 Corinthians 11:29-30

29 For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner

eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning

            the Lord’s body.

30 For this reason many are weak and sick among you,
            and many die.

Marriage Supper of the Lamb:

Revelation 19:9

Then He said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who

are invited to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb!’

In Heaven the heavenly caterer is preparing the banquet table and the meal which will be served to every Saint of God after they are Raptured. Jesus is the Bridegroom, we the True Church, the Body of Christ are the Bride. The Bride makes herself ready for the coming of the Lamb (Jesus) for the marriage. We are to be preparing ourselves for this event now, while living here below. We do this by right living, by our witnessing and our works for the Kingdom. We must strive to keep ourselves morally pure as we wait for the Bridegrooms appearance. The places are set, the table is ready, the names of the guests are placed at each one. The Supper will begin when the Bridegroom (Jesus) brings His Bride (His Saints) to the Banquet Hall in His Fathers house. With great joy and anticipation we His Bride look for His coming in the event called the Rapture. This Eternal Union with Christ is the True Churches Hope and Destiny.

Matthew 25:6

And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold,

           the bridegroom is coming;

Great Supper of God:

Revelation 19:17-18

17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun,

who cried in a loud voice to all the birds

flying in midair, “Come, gather together

for the Great Supper of God,

18 so that you may eat the flesh of kings,

generals, and mighty men, of horses

and their riders, and the flesh of all people,

free and slave, small and great.”

This is a supper no one should want to attend for it is one of death and misery and yet it is one that all who attend will be there because they chose to be there. These are those who rejected God’s invitation to the Supper of Salvation. If you are reading this and have not accepted the invitation to the Supper of Salvation God is giving to you another chance to accept this gift He is still offering. Today is the day of Salvation, tomorrow may never come for you. Which supper will you attend? It is your choice to make; God will not make it for you. This supper will take place at the end of the last battle between Satan and the armies of all nations when Jesus returns with His army of Saints. Many will die at this time, all those who rejected Christ and are living at this time will be part of this great battle and the bodies of those who die will be feed the birds of prey. Again, you are being given another chance to accept God’s Mercy and Grace which brings Redemption and the Forgiveness of sin. There will be no second chances on the other side of the grave.

Deuteronomy 30:19

I call heaven and earth to be witnesses today

against you, that I have set before you life

and death, blessing and cursing; therefore

choose life , that both you and your descendants

              may live;

2 Corinthians 6:2

“In the time of My favor I heard you, and in the

day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now

is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of

Revelation 19:19-21

19 Then I saw the beast and the kings of the

earth and their armies gathered together

to make war against the rider on the

            horse (Jesus) and His army.

20 But the beast was captured, and with him

the false prophet who had performed the

miraculous signs on his behalf. With

these signs he had deluded those who

had received the mark of the beast and

worshiped his image. The two of them

were thrown alive into the fiery lake

             of burning sulfur.

21 The rest of them were killed with the sword

that came out of the mouth of the rider

on the horse, and all the birds gorged

              themselves on their flesh.

Joshua 24:15

But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve.

Revelation 22:12

12 Behold, I Am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done.

13 I Am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

131) ‘I AM WHO I AM’

Exodus 3:13-14

13 ‘What is His name, what shall I tell them?”

14 God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.

This is what you are to say to the Israelites:

‘I AM has sent me to you.’”

Exodus 10:2

That you may know that I Am the LORD.”

John 8:58

“I tell you the truth,” Jesus answered,

“Before Abraham was born, I am!”

Revelation 1:8

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says

the Lord God, “who is, and who was,

and who is to come, the Almighty.”

As Moses was pondering going before the people of Israel to tell them that the God of their fathers had chosen him to be the one to lead them out of Egypt, out of bondage, his heart was filled with apprehension. He considered himself as no one, no one that the people would listen to. God told him he was to tell them when he was asked who sent him a very simple but very powerful answer, ‘I AM WHO I AM, I AM HAS SENT ME TO YOU.” This was the God of the Universe, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the patriarchs of the Jewish Nation. He is the Ancient of Days, the First and the Last, Almighty God, Everlasting Father, the Alpha and Omega and the Creator of Heaven and Earth. He is Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnipresent, the one and only God and there is none beside Him.

The majesty of God is beyond human comprehension, He told Moses that no man could look at Him and live and no man has ever seen Him. His throne is above the Universe, the earth is but a foot stool to Him.

Exodus 33:20

But He (GOD) said, “You cannot see My

face; for no man shall see Me, and live.”

Believing that it is an undeniable fact that there is a God, the God of the Bible, and reading about His awesome attributes makes the following three verses important if not the three most important verses in God’s Holy Word, the Bible. These are no mere opinions or presumptions, they are not illusions, they are statements of fact, they are revelations that demand more than a casual or passing thought. When we read The Word we take it by faith and faith says it is the Infallible Word of God, therefore, we believe what we read and what it says even if we do not understand or comprehend all we read. The Triune Godhead cannot be explained with worldly wisdom even though some attempt to do this. So we read, we meditate, we ponder and we marvel for these are the Words of Jesus, God’s Only Son and He is the literal Living Word.

John 1:1-3

1 In the beginning was the Word (Jesus) and the,

Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 He was with God in the beginning.

3 Through Him all things were made; without

Him nothing was made that has been made.

John 1:14

So the Word became human and lived

here on earth among us. He was full of

unfailing love and faithfulness. And we

have seen His glory, the glory of the only

             Son of the Father.

That verse literally changed the entire world. Jesus takes unto Himself the very character of God, the attributes of God, the power of God and the very names of God. Then He humbled Himself and took a human form and came to earth and lived among us. When He walked the earth the religious leaders considered what He said to be blasphemous and wanted Him condemned to death. He had the audacity to say that He and the Father where one, that if you look at Him you would see the Father. He did not think it was wrong or robbery to consider Himself equal to God, He also took upon Himself the names of God. Where these words of arrogance or words of truth from God Himself?

Philippians 2:5-6

5 Let this mind be in you which was also in

            Christ Jesus,

6 who, being in the form of God, did not

consider it robbery to be equal with God,

John 14:9

He who has seen Me has seen the Father

John 10:30

I and the Father are one.”

The one name above all the others that God used to relate to humanity, a name that no one else could even begin to use without making a fool of themselves. A name that represents eternity, a name that says there was no beginning and there is no ending, a name that sums it all up, ‘’I AM.’’

God said to tell them that I AM sent you. Direct, final, no debate, no discussion, that’s it. Then we read that Jesus also referred to Himself as the I AM.’ Jesus made God visible, He gave Him a face, He made Him personal and He brought Him down to where we live.

Revelation 1:12-16

12 I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lamp stands,

13 and among the lamp stands was someone “like a son of man,” dressed in a robe

reaching down to His feet and with a golden sash around His chest.

14 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes were like blazing fire.

15 His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of rushing waters.

16 In His right hand He held seven stars, and out of His mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.

Revelation 1:8

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “Who is, and Who was, and Who is to come, the Almighty.”

The Apostle John heard these words coming from the mouth of the Great I Am, Jesus Christ, Gods Son who makes it clear that He and the Father are one. They were together from time immemorial, there was no beginning and there will be no ending for either of them. He holds the world and the churches in His hands. He was in the beginning with the Father, He always existed and there will be none after Him. He is eternal, He is the great I AM.

Revelation 1:17

I Am the First and the Last.

Revelation 21:6

I Am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.

It is done’ a statement that sums it all up. There was nothing before Him and there will be nothing after Him. He is the sum total of everything combined, it is He, Jesus that holds everything together and around which everything revolves.

Revelation 21:6

He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the

Omega, the Beginning and the End.

John 11:25-26

25 I am the resurrection and the life. He who

            believes in me will live, even though he dies;

26 and whoever lives and believes in Me will

            never die.

Man is born to die, no one leaves this world alive, the grave awaits all, rich or poor and everyone will keep their appointment with death. BUT, he who believes in the resurrection and the life, God’s Son Jesus, the I AM, may die in this life but will liver forever in the next life.

John 6:35

I Am the Bread of life. He who comes to  Me shall never hunger.

Man needs bread (food) for his natural body to survive, to live, so to the Soul of man needs to be nourished with the Bread of Life that comes down from Heaven.’ The Bread of Life is He who comes down from the Father and gives life to the world. If anyone shall eat of this Bread he shall live forever.

John 14:6

I Am the way and the truth and the life. No

one comes to the Father except through Me.

If every time a math teacher were to give a test she gave the students the answers would she be helping or hindering them? She would hinder them for they would never learn to work out the problems themselves. So it is with Jesus, He doesn’t give us the answers He shows us how to find the answers, the Truth by showing us that He is the way and all we have to do to find it is to follow.

John 12:26

Whoever serves Me must follow Me; and where

I am, My servant also will be. My Father will

honor the one who serves Me.

Mark 14:61-62

61 “Are You the Christ, the Son of God?”

      62 “I Am”

Jesus made many claims for which the religious leaders condemned Him. This answer to their question made them furious. Are You the Son of God? – “I AM!” He is the only Begotten Son and because of Him we are sons also. He calls God His Father and we can also call Him, Our Father.

John 8:12

“I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall

not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

The only light, the only hope in this sin darkened world is Jesus. He is the Light that came into the world but the world rejected that light choosing darkness instead.

John 8:58

“I AM” Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly,

I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

Abraham is considered their earthly Father by the Jews and by we also. But Jesus says before Abraham He Was, He existed. He is the Eternal, Infallible, Son of God.

John 10:9

I am the Gate, the Door; whoever enters

through Me will be saved .

There is only one Door, one Gate to the Heavenly sheep Fold and that is Jesus. Anyone who tries to enter any other way is a thief and a robber. There is only and there will always be only one way to the Father and that is Jesus, who is also the Great I AM.

John 10:11

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd

gives His life for the sheep.

All we like sheep have gone astray, we have gone our own way we were lost. But all thanks be to our God who let the Good Shepherd give His life to show us the way back to His sheepfold. Jesus said He was the Good Shepherd and that His sheep knew His voice.

John 10:36

‘I Am the Son of God’

Who is this Jesus we have put our trust in? What makes Him any different from any other great man of history? All those others have left words of wisdom for those who followed them to be inspired by. These were great statesmen, great philosophers, great teachers, great theologians, great military leaders, and great composers. But all of them together, all their exploits, all their wisdom combined never touched the world and mankind and influenced and changed it like this one lone man who claimed to be the Son of God. Not just a son, for all we who follow Him are sons. He was the Son, the only begotten Son of God, the Great I AM.

John 10:30

I and the Father are one.

John 14:10

I Am in the Father, and the Father in Me..

Jesus not only saw the Father, He was not only with the Father but He went on to make probably the most awesome statement any man could utter. ‘’I Am in the Father and the Father and I are one.’’

John 15:1

         I Am the true vine.

John 15:5

I Am the vine, you are the branches.

Jesus likens our relationship to Him as a vine is to its branches. The vine can live without the branches but the branches cannot live without the vine. All the life, all the nutrients for the branches to live and bear fruit comes from the Vine. The I AM is the true Vine from which we draw our life.

John 20:17

‘I Am ascending to My Father and your

Father, and to My God and your God.’”

Jesus came to this earth and fulfilled His Fathers will for His life and for ours and now He, the Great I AM is going back to His Father and He tells us that because of Him He is also our Father.

Acts 9:5 “I Am Jesus.”

What more needs to be said? He said it all when He said, I AM Jesus.”

Revelation 1:18

I Am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I Am alive for ever and ever!

He was the divine Son of God who became a finite human being and gave His life for the Salvation of the whosoever will. But thanks be to God our Father who raised Him from the dead to live again. And He is alive forever more, never to taste death again. He is life eternal and because of Him we His followers have been given Eternal Life.

Revelation 5:13

“To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise’and honor and glory and power,  for ever and ever!”

John 11:25-26

       25 I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies;

26 and whoever lives and believes in Me will never die.

DEATH is a fact of life that everyone no matter what they believe in, no matter what their status in life may be cannot deny. Death belongs to our everyday life; everybody will die eventually, we were born to die and we have no choice in the matter. The only question is, How’ and ‘When.’ We see and read about it daily and it happens in many different ways, by accident, by sickness, by violence, by natural causes. We need to come to terms with this fact, this realization and its implications in our lives. Feelings, fears and hope help us to better cope good or bad with this unpleasant subject. By ignoring it and pretending it will not come into your life is futile. Trying to avoid ever thinking about it will only lead to greater emotional stress, personal uncertainties, pain and grief later when it eventually happens. Things not said can be more of a burden to you and to others and will strongly affect your attitude which in turn will control what you do and say. By you sharing your personal feelings and what you have personally experienced you can literally lessen the burden of suffering and grief being carried by others. I can personally testify to this during the last days before my darling wife went home. No matter what one may believe prior to a loved one dying, what happens after death comes into a person’s life completely changes the whole picture. It is at this time that we get unasked for opinions offered to us, sometimes by unthinking, good meaning people, concerning death based on what that individual believes or disbelieves. Death is the permanent ending of life for a person here on earth no matter what there belief. But it does not put out the light of the soul, for that is eternal; it may extinguish the earthly lamp of the body but not the light of the soul because it is then that the dawn of eternity comes into the picture.

Psalm 30:5

Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

Hebrews 9:27 It is appointed for men to die once,

Rich or poor, black or white, educated or illiterate, famous or unknown, all will have to keep this appointment with death. This is a subject that is still ignored in the pulpits everywhere. There is no preaching or teaching done to help the people who are or will struggle with this painful experience. The most that will be said about death by most will be said at funerals where it is to late to help the grieving loved ones. It is a Biblical fact that all are appointed to die once and after that it is all in God’s hands. The world offers no hope because for them death and the grave are the end of life’s story, the end of the road, period. But for the child of God, what a different story, what a different ending, what a glorious hope they have to cling to when a loved one passes on. There will be grieving, there will be crying, there will be sorrow for those who are left behind but the comfort we get from God’s own Word is priceless and it will bring joy in the midst of the sorrow.

2 Corinthians 5:8

We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be

absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.

As I sit here and write I am totally depending on The Holy Spirit to guide my thoughts and words as I relive my own experiences with death which have been to many in too short a time. I was in the Korean War where many died but that did not prepare me for the death of a close personal family member. My Dad passed away in 1964, my Mom in 1984. I loved my parents and grieved for a short time at their deaths. Then there was a period of time in my life from 1997 to 2005, eight years during which four of my five sisters and two of my three bothers died. It was a very hard time for me but I coped with it and moved on with my life. I am recounting this for the express purpose of saying that I have experienced and do know personally something about suffering, death, and grieving, and the effect it has on the emotions of family and friends. I know how it feels to stand beside a coffin in which lies one who was very close and dear to you.

That was a bleak period of time for me but it had taught me another lesson that cannot be learned until a person literally experiences and lives through it. Prior to that period of time I went through the most traumatic time in my entire life, it started in August of 1986. Arriving home with my wife from a weekend of rest and relaxation I was greeted immediately by my youngest son with the shocking news that our 28 year old son Craig had died while we were away. He was young and healthy, a picture of a strong, virile and energetic young man. My wife and I were stunned and the proverbial rug being pulled out from under our feet was an understatement. I learned quickly that I was not as prepared for the death of one as close to us as our son as I previously thought, neither of us were. We had never thought or talked about the death of one of our own even though we knew it could happen someday.

I never thought I would question God, I thought I was comfortable with leaving our future in His capable hands. Then in anguish I found myself using the ‘WHY word, ‘’Why Craig, Why us.’’ I was asking God, ‘’WHY?’’ It was only later that I saw how pointless that was but also that it was also inevitable. At times like this we are very vulnerable to the opinions and beliefs of others which sadly come mostly from those who have never experienced what you are going through. It is only when the initial shock has subsided that we are able to pull our selves together and collect out thoughts.  It is at this time that we are able to focus on what we believe and actually allow the Holy Spirit to minister to us and bring to our minds the things of comfort from God’s infallible Word. I realized for myself the vast difference between those who believe in God and eternal life and those who do not. What I am about to say needs to be read carefully so as not to be taken out of context and thereby misunderstood. If what I believed in was only a myth, if there was no God, no Jesus Christ, and no life after death and I emphatically say ‘IF.’ Then if that was so I would have no hope of a future life with Christ, I would never see my loved ones again and my life and hopes would have been in vain. But never-the-less, once in the grave I would know nothing, I would not know I was misled and would not know I was wrong but I would have died unafraid, not fearing death. But, a BIG, BUT, it is not a myth and my God is real and I have a Blessed Hope and my loved ones had the same Hope and we will greet each other once again, never to part again, together forever.

Now, one more step, another lesson that cannot be learned until it is experienced. I have learned through my own personal experience that the closer a loved one is to you the greater is the loss, the grieving, the sorrow and the acceptance time. I say this with personal knowledge beginning with my Dad, then my Mom. I loved them, but I also knew that eventually they would die, it was inevitable. I grieved but the process and time of grieving was short and I was able to get back on track. Then there were my four sisters and two brothers, all of them were close and I loved all of them. When they passed on I experienced about the same grief and sorrow as when my folks passed on. It was hard at times losing so many in such a short time but I survived and went on with my life. I remember them every once in a while with love and fond memories of each of them.

Then came the death of my son, this was as it is said, ‘’a different ballgame.’’ The stakes had changed, nothing was recognizable, the world had changed, now it was ‘WHY’- ‘WHY.’ This time I felt the Lord had given me a mountain to climb, a mountain that was very high and hard to climb. Now it was MY SON, it was different now, how close can you get? I was soon to find out. The grieving and sorrow were greater, the loss was almost unacceptable but with our faith in our God and each other my wife and I held on and we weathered the storm together. I was soon to learn that it could get worse. There was a new storm forming on the horizon, one that would all but devastate me. Four years later as my wife lay in a hospital bed a doctor came to me and told me the most devastating news I would ever hear. ”Mr. Pottle, I don’t know how to tell you this other than to tell you, your wife has about two months to live.”

My Darling Wife Melz

I am trusting that what I am saying will help someone cope with this thing called death for it is not pleasant for me to renew these events over again. Now I realized that what I thought was a mountain with my sons’ death, was in reality a large hill, I now was climbing a very high mountain that I thought I would never be able to climb. My grief and sorrow where mixed together instantly, my world stopped, I was numb. All of this is to tell you that the loss will get greater the closer you are to the individual. I am not going to go into details here but will try and give you some insight to hold on to. My wife died in six weeks and I can look anyone in the eye and tell them the only thing that kept me sane was my firm belief in a loving God that knew what was best. I had living in me His Holy Spirit who gave me the strength to hold on and to help me see that my darling Melz was in a better place with the Lord she loved. The lessons learned where that grief does not end, it may ebb but will never go away, and sorrow is replaced with acceptance and the joy of memories that will never fade. There is the smile, the greeting, the gentle touch of her hand, the good times, and a love that never stopped blooming. I can attest to the fact that through the Grace of God we can make it through any circumstance, ride out any storm no matter how severe until He tells it to cease. And after that we can remember with joy the one we loved who has passed on. Our sorrow will never end but there will come a peace that is beyond our understanding, sent from the Father above. The following is a prayer that I read and edited it for my need:

“Dear God, I have never thanked you for the thorns in my life until by my troubled experiences I have learned that it is the thorns that make the roses more precious.  We always treasure your loving care more during trouble than at any other time. Thank you for reminding me that Jesus wore a crown of thorns so that we would know the depth of His love and yours. Help me not to resent the thorns but to thank you for the lessons I have learned because of them. I have thanked you a thousand times for the roses, but never once for the thorns. Teach me the glory of the cross I must bear; teach me the value of the thorns.  Show me how I have come closer to you along the path of pain from the thorns I have had to bear. Show me how through my tears, the colors of your rainbow look much more brilliant. Thank you for the peace we always receive when we trust and thank you for the thorns as well as the roses.”

My Anchor Holds in Spite of the Storm!

John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you.
I do not give to you as the world gives.

The Christian view makes death a beginning, not an ending; it offers hope, joy, peace, freedom, and the release from fear. Not only does the Christian view change our focus, but it also changes how we view life. An atheist is forced to view their present life as the best time he or she will ever have. In spite of the pain, death, loss, disappointment, frustration, anger, happiness, etc.–this is the best it gets. The Christian, on the other hand, can view life as the worst they will ever have to tolerate. In spite of all the good and the bad things we experience and the beauty we see in life–this is as bad as it gets compared to what awaits us on the other side of death! What a contrast! If there was no other reason to believe in God than this one, it would be a very compelling reason. Those who are left behind need to take hold of these realities and put their trust in the one who holds life and death in His hands. God says to us in His Word that in the abundance of sorrows we have in our hearts, He will comfort and refresh our souls if we would but trust Him.

Psalm 119:50
My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise
             preserves my life.

Acts 17:25
Because He himself gives all men life and breath
              and everything else.

In these times of emotional pain that those left behind will experience one of the things they don’t need is advice. What is needed are people with the sensitivity and the ability to just listen and let their presence be a comfort. There is a period of time when natural grieving may cause disbelief, anger, guilt, depression, sorrow and weeping and sometimes all of these at the same time. Those that are left behind will experience those emotions until they can accept what has happened and try to move on. Each person’s heart knows its own sorrows and bitterness brought on by thoughts of the past. It will be a time when their faith in God may waver for the moment, when they feel no strength, see no purpose in what has happened, they are confused and don’t know what to do or what to believe. They will feel that the proverbial rug has been pulled out from under their feet. Has God’s love changed because we cannot feel it? Has the sun stopped shining because it went behind a cloud? Do we feel lost because we cannot see our way for a time? We need to remember that the God of the good times is the same God in the bad times. He is our God forever and for ever and He will never leave us or forsake us. The death of our loved one is even more precious to Him than it is to us.

Psalm 48:14

For this is God, Our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even to death.

Psalm 116:15

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints.

Grief is not an illness – it is a personal and normal response to a life-changing event, it is as natural as breathing, or sleeping. It is both a releasing and healing process for the grieving soul if it is not denied and kept inside. It needs to be released, let out and worked through which is a different process for each individual. It cannot be avoided, we all will have to go through it and only the individual person can complete the road to recovery. There is no time limit that can be set on grieving; the world likes to bring things to a finish, a choking off, a closure. Grief may diminish but it will never end. The beauty of the life of the one we loved will never end for their memory is eternally embedded in our hearts and minds. We find the truth in the saying, ‘Love is as strong as death and like a mighty flame.’ The pain of grief does not remain the same, it changes over time but it will never completely end. This feeling, this sense of lose must eventually give way to reality if we are going to be able to cope with the loss. We need to be able to do this if we are to remember the love, joy, and the life we had lived with the one who has gone on. It teaches us just how fragile life really is and that our future is not in our hands and how final death is.  Especially for those who thought they held their lives in their own hands, had everything under control. But the lessons we learn of the humility and the helplessness of having this control stripped out of our hands comes as a rude shock.

Song of Solomon 8:6

For love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave.

It burns like a blazing fire, like a mighty flame.

Another lesson we need to learn is that death is a ‘
GREAT EQUALIZER.’ We need to remember that when death knocks and a man or woman draws their last breath matters not what their

social status may have been, how well known their name, how large their bank account, what they may or may not have accomplished during their life time, all of this ceases to matter. When they draw their last breath they die and the only thing that matters then is their relationship with Jesus Christ. If a man dies leaving behind billions of dollars and has no relationship with Jesus all his money will not matter, for he will be eternally separated from God. On the other hand if a penniless man dies leaving no material wealth behind but has accepted God’s gift of forgiveness and has a personal relationship with Jesus he will be eternally with God his Creator. Death is the ‘Great Equalizer.’

A positive aspect for one who has experienced grief is that it will give them the ability to guide another grieving person through the process of grief. Only a person who has personally grieved over a lost loved one and suffered through the loss can affectively help someone else, they can actually be like a healer to that one. You will find that your love will never lessen or diminish but will grow stronger as the Lord helps you open your heart to let others in. You will never stop loving your first love for the memories of your former life and love should and will continue through time. Time will go by and your grief will still be real, it will come alive every time you visit places you and your loved one enjoyed visiting, a restaurant, at church, at homes of family and friends and always at your own home. At times you may have to excuse yourself and leave as you feel the tears starting and your facial expression makes it clear what is happening. You may think of them everyday, all day but the memories will be those you cherish, of the times you shared together. But it will also be time to let go, not to stop loving, not to forget, not to let go of your memories, but your living in the past, things will change not end. It will be a time of healing when we can finally let go of our sorrow and pain, and get on with our lives.

I stood by my wife’s graveside with my grand-daughter Candace and she asked me why her Nana had to die. I reminded her of the time when her family moved from a rented house to their own new home. I asked her if she would want to go back to the old house. Of course the answer was no and so I proceeded to tell her about her Nana’s passing away. I told her that in that casket was the old house her Nana lived in and that she was no longer living there. I told her that her Nana had moved to a brand new home that Jesus had built for her and that one day she would again visit with her Nana in her new home. This helped her to better grasp what had happened and did help to lessen her pain.

2 Corinthians 1:3-5

3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus

Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all

             comfort ,

4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can

comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we

              ourselves have received from God.

5 For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our

lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.

We must never forget that our lives are an example to those watching us. What are we showing them? Our actions will always speak louder than our words. Do they see a life grounded in faith or one that is superficial with no foundation to stand on? We the living have to hold on and never doubt that Jesus has conquered death, hell and the grave. That through Him death has no hold on us and we are confident that there is only one step between death and Paradise and then we will be with our Lord. When we take that step we are home forever where there is no more death, no more parting, no more grieving, no more pain or sorrow. It is a place where the roses never fade and die, their beauty lasts forever. We need to let others see this in us so as to hopefully help them.

Romans 8:38-39

38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life,

nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor

things present nor things to come,

39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing,

shall be able to separate us from the love of God

which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The following scriptures are scriptures of faith and comfort to those who are left behind and grieving.

1 Corinthians 15:54-57

54″Death has been swallowed up in victory.”

55″Where, O death, is your victory? Where,

           O death, is your sting?”

56 The sting of death is sin, and the power

           of sin is the law.

57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the

victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:8

We are confident, yes, we are well pleased

to be absent from the body and to be

          present with the Lord.

1 Samuel 20:3

But truly, as the LORD lives and as your

soul lives, there is but a step between

            me and death .

Psalm 23:4

Yea, though I walk through the valley

of the shadow of death , I will fear no

            evil; For You are with me;

Proverbs 14:32

But the righteous have a refuge in His death.

Isaiah 25:8

He will swallow up death forever, and the Lord

           GOD will wipe away the tears from all faces;

Amos 5:8

He turns the shadow of death into morning.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-14

13 But I do not want you to be ignorant,

           my brothers, concerning those who

have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as

            others who have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and

rose again, even so God will bring with

Him those who sleep in Jesus.

Revelation 2:10

Be faithful until death, and I will give

            you the Crown of life.

Revelation 21:4

And God will wipe away every tear from

their eyes; there shall be no more death ,

nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be

no more pain, for the former things have

             passed away.”

The following scripture is the Blessed Hope for those who are alive and for those who have gone on and we are confident that we will be reunited on that day.

1 Thessalonians 4:16

16 For the Lord himself will come down

from heaven, with a loud command,

with the voice of the archangel and

with the trumpet call of God, and the

dead in Christ will rise first.

17 After that, we who are still alive and

are left will be caught up together with

them in the clouds to meet the Lord in

the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

The grave, for the world it is the end of the road, the finish, the period at the end of life’s sentence. But for the child of God it is just a stepping stone into glory. We have God’s own Words to encourage us; death has no hold on us. We will close with His Word for it is a light unto our path as we walk this road of life. The grave is that one step in this life that must be taken, the one that separates the earthly life from the Heavenly life. For those who die in Christ Jesus it is glory, for all others it is eternal grief. But for we who are living our Hope is Christ’s return and our being reunited with our loved ones. So we comfort one another with His eternal Word. His Word tells us that the grave will not be able to hold those that are in it for on that Resurrection Morning it will have to give up the earthly bodies of all God’s children they will then become incorruptible and immortal.

Job 3:22

Who is filled with gladness and rejoice when

they reach the grave? (The child of God)

Psalm 49:15

But God will redeem my life from the

grave; He will surely take me to Himself.

Hosea 13:14

I will ransom them from the power of the

grave ; I will redeem them from death.

Where, O death, are your plagues?

Where, O grave , is your destruction?

When my son died some of me died also, when my wife died I thought my life was over. The mountain God gave me at that time was one I thought I would never be able to climb. I was wrong, my life was far from over, God had more for me to do, and it wasn’t time for me to go home. The road was rough but if the mountain was smooth I would not have been able to climb it. I found that I could actually go on living even without her by my side. I will always miss her – love her – think of her and her beautiful smile. There will always be an ache in my heart, a void but Gods love can fill that void with enough of His love to share with others through me. I sit here at my desk writing this, in front of me is a picture of my smiling wife and my son, I miss them  both but my life goes on as she would want it to. Grief is not an enemy to be avoided; it is a path of healing we will all have to walk one day. Love is stronger than death and though the night brings tears the morning brings the Joy of the Lord which is our strength. Since then God has fill my heart with more of His love when He brought another beautiful jewel into my life that has helped to fill the void. Her name is Voni, short for Vondelae. We walk together hand in hand enjoying life together in Christ and what is so beautiful is that she feels no danger in my still loving my first wife and she also has loved her. Her love proves that God’s love is ENDLESS, PURE and GOOD.

Psalm 30:5

Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning .

Psalm 30:11

             You have turned my mourning into dancing;

Isaiah 35:10

They shall obtain joy and gladness, and

sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Jeremiah 31:13

For I will turn their mourning to joy, I will

comfort them, and make them rejoice rather

           than sorrow .

John 16:20

Most assuredly, I say to you that you will

weep and lament, but the world will

rejoice; and you will be sorrowful,

but your sorrow will be turned into joy.

I know little of what is on the other side of death, but this one thing I do know;

I know my Jesus is there, waiting for me and that is enough for me.’

Grief is a releasing process

             a discovery process

             a healing process

Are you watching and waiting for Christ’s soon return?

In all your endeavors, how much do you yearn

To be in His presence and look on His face,

The worries and cares of the world to displace?

In the blink of an eye God’s trumpet will sound,

And we shall rise up… no longer earthbound…

To worship our Lord, our God and our King,

All glory and honor and reverence to bring!

We do not know the day or the hour

When He shall appear in glory and power,

So we must be ready and look to the sky.

For Jesus is waiting and soon will draw nigh

I Corinthians 15:51-52

“Behold, I show you a mystery:  We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”

Someone has wisely said; ‘Enjoy your life today – for yesterday is gone – and tomorrow may never come.

Have you ever had to wrestle with the events of life, and when you prayed you felt your prayers didn’t go through the ceiling, that the Heavens were made of brass? Have you ever had the feeling that God had deserted you? Have you been honest with God about your feelings? Do you know He is the kind of Father who is willing to have those difficult conversations with you? He won’t always do what we want Him to do, He won’t always change things to suite us, but His perfect will and His purpose for you will be accomplished and His peace will come if you would but trust Him. It is an odd way in which our minds work, we can trust Him for things that have past, and we can have confidence in Him for the future. Yet sometimes we find it so difficult to trust Him for our needs for today. We don’t want to forget that He is willing to do the same for us today as He did in the past and He will do so in the future. God is the ‘Great I Am’ of our present, our todays. He is and will always be the all-sufficient one  for this very moment in our lives. Try not to forget that He loves you with an everlasting love. In other words don’t worry for worrying changes nothing and you can actually ruin your health by worrying. Where do you think ulcers come from? Look at it this way ‘Worrying is the interest you pay for troubles before they are due.’

Ecclesiastes 2:22-23

22 What does a man get for all the toil and

anxious striving with which he labors

             under the sun?

23 All he receives from his days and his work

is pain and grief; even at night his mind

does not rest. This too is meaningless.

Matthew 6:27

Who of you by worrying can add a single

            hour to his life?

 John 14:27

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give

you. I do not give to you as the world

gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled

           and do not be afraid.

1 Peter 5:7

Cast all your anxiety(your cares) on Him

             because He cares for you.

Three days out of a week, Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, each one with its own unique ramifications, its own consequences. Maybe God has seen fit to have us here in this fast-changing, shaky, bewildering world in which we live for a specific purpose. That purpose may be to make music instead of noise using all that He has entrusted us with and, when that is no longer possible, then to strive to make music instead of problems with what we have left. He is and always will be the Master Craftsman; let Him have His perfect way in your life today. When all you have to give Him is your brokenness and strife you will be amazed at what a beautiful thing He can make of your life. Worry robs us of the Joy of the Lord.

We live in a noisy world. We are questioned, yelled at, given advice we don’t want. Our ears are battered by the telephone, radio, TV, street noise, neighbors, kids, family. Everyone wants to tell us something, everyone has a message for us and it seems like everyone is talking at once and few are listening. We need to remember that Today, right now, someone important is listening. God is listening and He is listening intently and with interest to what we are saying. The very fact that He is listening is more of a marvel than when He talks to us. Our garbled and clumsy words, our stuttering and stammering speech is clearly understood and He takes what we say seriously and He knows how we feel and what we have to say and what we think is important to Him.

Psalm 66:18-19

       18 If I regard sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened;

19 but God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer.

Hebrews 3:13

But encourage one another daily, as long as it

is called Today , so that none of you may be

             hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.

In every week there are two days that we should not have to worry about, these two days should be kept free from all fear and anxiety, of pessimism and misgivings which all lead to worrying. Yesterday is one of them, with its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains. Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control. All the money in the world cannot bring back yesterday. We cannot undo a single act we performed. We cannot erase a single word we said. Yesterday is gone. It is history, it has passed; it cannot be brought back with all of its problems and mistakes, all its heartaches and pain as well as its joys. It is forever in our minds as a memory. It would be good to remember that the only real mistakes are the ones from which we learn nothing. Yesterday our burdens may have been heavy, our song gone but when we simply begin to praise God and give Him thanks in everything it then becomes for us an effective way of bringing back that song, of relieving that heavy burden.  When we realize that Yesterday is gone, but God’s Holy Spirit is not gone. He is living within us and He will never leave or forsake us. He is always there to lift up the grieving heart and to help us to understand the things that confuse us. Our minds plan our way, but the Lord directs our steps and makes them sure. But one of the things to remember about our Yesterdays are the precious memories we can and will always cherish.

Proverbs 3:5-6

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and

            lean not on your own understanding;

6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He

            shall direct your paths.

Job 8:9

For we were born only yesterday and know nothing,

and our days on earth are but a shadow.

Philippians 3:14

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has

called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

As we have already said all the worrying and all the money in the world cannot bring Yesterday back, it has passed forever beyond our control. We cannot bring back a single unkind word that we uttered; we cannot undo a single act that we have committed. Words and acts are like bullets fired from a gun, once the trigger is pulled, even accidentally, there is no bringing them back and they will bear consequences whether good or bad. The best thing we can do with mistakes is to learn from them, grow and mature and move on. So remember; Yesterday is gone forever, it is now part of your past. We can remember it with remorse and regret or we can put it behind us and commit it to the Lord and let Him remove the remorse and regret and replace them with His Peace. When we can do that then the only one who will ever bring them back for us to remember will be our adversary, our accuser, Satan. But greater is He who is residing within you than he that is in the world.

1 John 4:4

You are of God, little children, and have

overcome them, because He who is in

you is greater than he who is in the world.

Psalm 103:12

As far as the east is from the west, so far has

He removed our transgressions from us.

Psalm 90:4

For a thousand years in Your sight (Lord) are

like yesterday when it is past,

Tomorrow is out of sight and may never come, it is a mystery to all of us for we don’t know what it holds for us, it is part of the future. What will happen has yet to be seen and to worry about what hasn’t happened yet is an act of futility. Remember what we have previously stated, ‘‘Worrying is the interest you pay for troubles before they are due.’ There is absolutely nothing we can do about Tomorrow until it arrives. We can make plans but what is to be has yet to be seen. The sun will come up and it will go down, it may be cloudy or it may rain, there will be those who are born and those who will die. Though we can’t retrace our steps no matter what the score may be, Tomorrow brings another chance for us to try once more. We do not know the future –BUT- we know who holds the future and He holds it and us in His capable hands. We also know that above every dark cloud the sun is brightly shining. So we leave tomorrow in His capable hands and take one day at a time which leaves us with Today.

Jeremiah 31:17

There is hope in your future, says the LORD,

Proverbs 27:1

Do not boast about tomorrow , for you do

not know what a day may bring forth.

Matthew 6:34

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow ,

for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Each day has enough trouble of its own.

James 4:13-14

13 Now listen, you who say, “Today or

tomorrow we will go to this or that city,

spend a year there, carry on business

              and make money.”

14 Why, you do not even know what will

happen tomorrow. What is your life?

You are a mist that appears for a little

              while and then vanishes.

We have Today, it is a gift, that is why it is called the Present. This is the day the Lord has made, rejoice and be glad for it. Take hold of your destiny and place it in His hands. Determine to make it a good and productive day by avoiding negative sources, people, places, things and habits. Start each day with a positive attitude, believe in yourself for you are made in God’s own image. With the privilege of using God’s today, why should we waste time brooding or longing for things that are over and past. The past is gone and we can’t bring it back. The enemy of our souls will do all he can to discourage us by bringing up the past, Yesterday, but that is history; he will try to worry us about Tomorrow which may never come. So don’t give up and don’t give in. Keep striving, fight every temptation, for the Lord has given us the power to be overcomers and it will be worth it in the end. So ignore all those who would discourage you as Job’s “comforters” tried to do to him. Quitters never win and winners never quit.

Psalm 118:24

Today is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

We need to open our spiritual eyes and see what God is doing in our lives, Today –not –Tomorrow. It is hard enough to fight the battles one day at a time, but when we add on the burdens of Yesterday and the worries of Tomorrow, we tend to get discouraged and want to quit. This is a fact, the longer we hold onto our burdens the heavier they get. It is the remorse of things we have done Yesterday and the fear of what Tomorrow may bring that stifles us in our walk Today. This in turn suppresses us in our walk with the Lord. Today gives us the opportunity to seek forgiveness, to strive to make up for Yesterdays mistakes. We can try and undo any wrong we may have done to someone, we can forgive and be set free. Today is a Present from the Lord, a Present we should try to use to bless others and to glorify Him. He has given us another day each containing 24 hours, 1,440 minutes as a Present, appreciate it, use it or lose it. Redeem the time given to you for the days are short. Now that the day is over, tell me, what did you do Yesterday that so worried you Today? Is it worth remembering or mentioning Today? Whatever it may have been; Get Over It!

Hebrews 3:7

Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.

Today is a brand new day, a day God has given you, what will your attitude be, positive or negative? It could be the best day of your life if you let your mind dwell on the accomplishments you have already achieved instead of on the failures. The failures can serve to make you stronger in your walk. Dwell on your blessings, the love of family, friends and all that God is doing in your life

Today. This also could be a special day, like none other, the Trumpet could sound from Heaven and you would rise and leave this old sin sick world to meet your Lord in the air with all your Brothers and Sisters. Don’t think on miracles you would like to see, dwell on the fact that your life is a miracle. Today you have another opportunity to share the love of God that you have experienced, to be able to introduce someone to your friend Jesus. You can go out of your way to show acts of kindness, you can speak words of encouragement to a person who is discouraged and needs a friend.

Let Today be the day that you will quit worrying about what happened Yesterday and determine not to worry about Tomorrow and the things that haven’t happened yet. Think about this, Today  is the first day of the rest of your life. You need to remember that worrying is an absolute waste of valuable time because our Lord has a divine purpose for us and He ensures us that in the end everything will turn out right. You wont worry about what you don’t have and will start being grateful for what you do have and for all that God has provided you with. You will remind yourself that there are more in this world with less than you have than there are with more. When Today has ended for you and you lay your head on you pillow remember to thank God for it. Have an excited expectation that if He didn’t return Today, He may come Tomorrow. Either way Tomorrow if it comes will be the beginning of the rest of your life. We need to remind ourselves that our times are in His capable hands.

  Isaiah 49:16

        See, I have engraved you on the palms of My hands;

Imagine if you will a bank that credits your account each morning with $86,400.00. It carries over no balance from day to day. Every evening the bank deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day. What would you do? Draw out every cent, of course! Each of us has such a bank. The International Mercantile Enterprise Bank, it is commonly known as TIME. Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever you have not used or failed to invest in the Kingdom of God.. It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft. Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns all the time that remains from yesterday. If you fail to use the day’s deposits, the loss is yours. There is no going back. There is no drawing against the “tomorrow” you don’t have. You must live in the present, Today, the Day that God Has Made, on today’s deposits. Wisely invest all He has given to you so as to get from it the utmost return in health, happiness, and in the Eternal Dividends! The clock is running and no one or anything can stop it. Make the most of today.

Psalm 90:12

So teach us to number our days that we may gain

     a heart of wisdom.

Psalm 31:14-15

14 But I trust in you, O LORD; I say,” You are

            my God.”

        15 My times are in Your hands;

Psalm 118:24

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice

      and be glad in it.

Psalm 144:4

Man is like a breath; His days are like a

             passing shadow

Proverbs 27:1

Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not

know what a day may bring forth.

.Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ who

              strengthens me .

Ephesians 5:16

             Redeeming the time, because the

             days are evil.

Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and

             today and forever.

All Of Our Today’s And Our Tomorrows Are In His Nail Scarred Hands.

Today All of our Yesterdays may be gone,
But they will live forever in all our Tomorrows.

1 Corinthians 3:16

16 Don’t you know that you are the Temple

of God and that the Spirit of God  dwells

            in you?

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

19 Or do you not know that your body is the

Temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you,

whom you have from God, and you are

             not your own?

20 For you were bought at a price; therefore

glorify God in your body and  your spirit,

             which now belong to Him.

2 Corinthians 6:16

For we are the Temple of the living God.

As God has said: “I will live with them

and walk among them, and I will be their

God, and they will be my people.”

1 Peter 1:18-20

18 For you know that it was not with perishable

things such as silver or gold that you were

redeemed from the empty way of life handed

down to you from your forefathers,

19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a Lamb

without spot or blemish or defect.

What was the price that was paid to ransom us, to redeem us from sin and purchase our Salvation? The price that was demanded by God was the Blood of a perfect sacrificial Lamb, without spot or blemish. This Blood flowed freely from the broken body of God’s sacrificial Lamb, His Son, Jesus Christ. As He hung on the cross His outstretched arms spanned the chasm, the gulf that sin had created between mankind and God. He was suffering and dying on the Cross willingly for you and me, for no man could take His life, He lay it down voluntarily, of His own accord. He redeemed us from the slave block of sin that Satan had us on. He willingly paid the price for our redemption and we are no longer slaves to sin for we are set free by the power of His shed Blood. Because of His sacrifice we now belong to Him, we are no longer our own and He is carrying out His business, His program here on earth through us His church, His Saints. We are not ashamed to declare to the world that we belong to Jesus and that we are fully persuaded, we are convinced, that this Jesus we believe in is able to keep everything that we have entrusted unto Him until the day He returns for us His Bride.

Luke 16:26

Between us and you there is a great gulf

fixed, so that those who want to pass from

here to you cannot, nor can those from

           there pass to us.’

John 10:17-18

17 The reason My Father loves Me is that I

lay down My life – only to take it up again.

18 No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down

of My own accord. I have authority to lay

it down and authority to take it up again.

This command I received from My Father.”

2 Timothy 1:12

I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have

believed in and am persuaded that He is

able to keep what I have committed to Him

             until that Day.

We were all on the slave block of sin, we were owned by Satan and the price for our freedom was too high for any mere man to pay. God Himself was willing to pay the price to redeem us and so He sent His best from Heaven and the price was paid in full by the blood of His pure and perfect Lamb. This Lamb without spot or blemish was His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ. . Therefore, since we are now His purchased possession, He has a right to our lives for we are not our own and may we with joy place ourselves at His disposal, allowing Him to work out His perfect will in and through us.

1 Corinthians 7:22-23

22 For he who was a slave when he was

called by the Lord is now the Lord’s

freedman; Similarly, he who was a

free man when he was called is now

         Christ’s slave.

23 You were bought at a price; do not

         become slaves of men.

1 Corinthians 8:9-13

9 Be careful, however, that the exercise

of your freedom does not become a

             stumbling block to the weak.

10 For if anyone with a weak conscience

sees you who have this knowledge

eating in an idol’s temple, won’t he be

emboldened to eat what has been

              sacrificed to idols?

11 So this weak brother, for whom Christ

died, is destroyed by your knowledge.

12 When you sin against your brothers in

this way and wound their weak

              conscience, you sin against Christ.

13 Therefore, if what I eat causes my brother

to fall into sin, I will never eat meat again,

so that I will not cause him to fall.

Here we find the Apostle Paul using the eating of food sacrificed to idols as the example for what he is trying t tell us. We are free to eat what we want but if something we eat offends a weaker brother and leads him into sin then it changes the whole matter. What we do may not be sin in itself but if we do it in front of a weaker brother and cause him to sin by his following our example, then what we do becomes sin and we also sin against Christ. This can be a multiple number of things we do that to us may not be sin but to another it is and for us to do our thing in front of them changes everything. So as Paul says we will be sensitive to our weaker brother and refrain from doing that which will cause him to stumble and sin. Therefore, we do not only strive to please the Lord but we also want to try and please and live in harmony with our Brothers and Sisters of the Faith.

2 Corinthians 5:9-10

9 So we make it our goal to please him,

whether we are at home in the body

             or away from it.

10 For we must all appear before the

Judgment seat of Christ, that each one

may receive what is due him for the

things done while in the body, whether

            good or bad.

John 5:22

Moreover, the Father judges no one, but

has entrusted all judgment to the Son,

Romans 14:12,13

12 So then, each of us will give an account

           of himself to God.

13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment

on one another. Instead, make up your

mind not to put any stumbling block or

            obstacle in your brother’s way.

We are reminded of the importance of glorifying God in everything we do. Not only are we to glorify Him in our worship and service but in every area of our personal lives. This includes not just our times of success but also our times of failure; not just in our joy but in our times of sorrow. Not just when we are on the mountain top but in the valley also. We are to glorify Him through every problem we have, every care, every time of joy, this simply means_ In all things because we belong to Him. The attitude we have toward these things testifies to the world whether we belong to Jesus or not. When we can do this we will not be a stumbling block to our Brothers and Sisters in the family of God nor to the unsaved soul. Instead we will strive to be an edifier, an encourager. God is the God of the night as well as the God of the day. He is the same God in the good times as well as the bad; He is the God of the mountain top and the same God in the valley. He is GOD. We know our sinful lives have been bought with a price, now we are no longer our own, we belong to Him.

Hebrews 6:12

We do not want you to become lazy, but

to imitate those who through faith and

patience inherit what has been promised.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

      16 Rejoice always,

      17 pray without ceasing,

18 in everything give thanks; for this is the

will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

There is a price we  will have to pay if we are to be a follower of Christ Jesus and it must be paid willingly  if we want to find that place of true happiness, contentment and fulfillment in Christ Jesus. It is a price that many are not willing to pay because it goes against the carnal nature of man. To many it means giving up all control of their personal lives and the goals they have set for themselves. It is called surrender, self-surrender, the relinquishing of our unsurrendered self to someone else, to give them authority over our lives. Self-Surrender is everything in the believers’ life; the Christian faith demands this of us as its deepest demand. The essential difference between the Christian faith and other faiths is that the God we serve, the Divine God of the Bible, practices everything He asks us to do, especially in the area of self-surrender. We saw God’s willingness from the very beginning to give His best to save a lost and dying world by giving His only begotten Son to redeem it. This was for a world that had shunned Him. And so we see that He has done the very same thing that He asks of us, when He asks us to be willing to give our all.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His one

and only Son, that whoever would believe in Him

would not perish but have everlasting life.

Romans 5:7-8

7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though

for a good man someone might possibly dare to die.

8 But God demonstrates His own love for us in this:

While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

The Christian faith teaches self-love: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” You are able to love yourself in God – not in yourself. In yourself it is egotism, vanity, pride which considers only oneself and one’s own interests, but in God it is consecration. This means that you love God supremely and yourself subordinately or less important, inferior. Because He accepts you as you are you can accept yourself. When you are able to do this all self-loathing, self-rejection, self-hate drops away and you stand accepted by God and thereby yourself. In contrast the worlds view is to know ourselves, accept ourselves, express ourselves, indulge ourselves and if it feels good then by all means do it. Everything that will make self the center of our universe, everything to make self feel good and everything to make self feel important. Satan would have you believe that you are your own; no one owns you for you are the master of your own destiny. He gets you to believe you are a self-made person and you belong to no one else but yourself.

Proverbs 12:15

The way of a fool seems right to him,

but a wise man listens to advice.

Proverbs 16:18

Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.

1 Peter 5:5

God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

When we make the decision to follow Jesus we need to remember that Jesus measures hearts not heads. He is building a Kingdom Society but it will not be built on a ‘catch-all basis’ with a crowd of people following Him today but turning back tomorrow when things do not go there way. He has put the terms for following Him right out front where everyone can see and read them. No one can ever say they were deceived or misled. Our walk with Him is not based on false notions for He intends for you to understand from the start what it means to follow Him and what it may cost you. Because of this no one will be able to question His love, His sincerity or His integrity. The message to all is, “Count the cost first and then follow Me.”

Matthew 16:24

“If anyone would come after Me, he must deny

himself and take up his cross and follow Me.

We are not drafted into His service for we are in an all volunteer army and it will always be a Whosoever will.’ The Spirit of God does draw people to Him; there is a tug deep down in our souls, a tug on an empty spot put there by God that can only be filled by Him. Our emotions will always play a big roll in our answer to His call and sometimes many are too quick to answer without counting the cost. But God puts us to the test because our emotions, our feelings change so easily and cannot be trusted. They are like a thermometer, up and hot one minute and cold and down the next minute, this can make a hypocrite out of any of us. Jesus will always ask us to look at His cause very soberly and to count the cost before we commit ourselves to follow Him. Those who commit themselves to follow Him will soon find that His cause is not a popular one and they will soon be faced with this fact. Few, if any will walk up to you and congratulate you on the stand you are taking for Jesus. It maybe at home, in the workplace, at your school, or your next door neighbor where you will soon discover how many despise our Lord. It may mean loss of position, loss of job, loss of those you called friends, it may mean loneliness and sacrifice, things you didn’t count on. But Jesus did not keep this from you, he held nothing back, He said you have been bought with a price but He lets you retain your free will with the freedom to reject what you have received. He will never force or coerce anyone to follow Him. He never said it would be easy, but it will be worth it. When you accept the fact that you are bought with a price and your faith is in the one who bought you then you are confident that He will be faithful to you unto the end.

John 15:18-19

18 “If the world hates you, keep in mind that

            it hated Me first.

19 If you belonged to the world, it would love

you as its own. As it is, you do not belong

to the world, but I have chosen you out of

the world. That is why the world hates you.

1 Corinthians 6:20 For you were bought at a price

The tug of the world is relentless, it never ceases and many times people find themselves pulled between two things at once. Two different calls are creating a dilemma for them; and are twisting the mind and soul for they know they cannot have it both ways with one foot in the world and one in the Kingdom of God. You have to make a decision, to make up your mind, Jesus or the world. You cannot have it both ways, or as the world says, ‘”You can’t have your cake and eat it to.” To some people the call of God always seems to come at an inconvenient time, the wrong time for them and they see to many problems. Stumbling blocks become detours, instead of stepping over them they decide to change direction. There will always be some worldly attraction, some worldly affection or love that is vying or competing for first place in their hearts. But if we let any diversion come between our dedication to the Lord we will never find that place of service for Him that once was yours for the asking.

He paid the price, He redeemed us, and He bought us back from Satan with His own precious Blood. Since we are no longer our own we do not have the right to ask Him to adjust His plans for our convenience. And we dare not ask Him to wait on us until there is a more convenient time. We need to step out in faith, not depending on the advice of others which will most assuredly try to turn you away from His call on your life. So many good things of life are actually enemies to your walk with Jesus. You must recognize this and determine not to let them detour you and make up your mind that you will finish the race. Family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and all who do not believe in God’s Son will be a negative influence that will surely hinder you in the decision you will have to make. You do not need permission from anyone to follow Jesus, it is a personal decision that you must make yourself. You have been bought with a price, your life is no longer your own, the price was high but Jesus considered you worth the price that had to be paid and so He paid it with His Life’s Blood. Because of this you now belong to Him, so run the race with confidence in the one who has called you and let no one and nothing this world has to offer hinder you from finishing your race and you will receive the crown that awaits all who finish the race.

James 1:12

Blessed is the man who perseveres under

trial, because when he has stood the test,

he will receive the Crown of Life that God

has promised to those who love him.

Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ and I no

longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life

I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son

of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Galatians 5:7

You ran well. Who hindered you from obeying

            the truth?

Hebrews 12:1

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such

a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off

everything that hinders and the sin that so

easily entangles, and let us run with

perseverance the race marked out for us.

2 Timothy 4:7

           I have fought the good fight;

           I have finished the race,

          I have kept the faith.

Revelation 19:11-16

11 I saw heaven standing open and there

before me was a white horse, whose

rider is called Faithful and True. With

justice He judges and makes war.

12 His eyes are like blazing fire, and on

His head are many crowns. He has a

name written on Him that no one

              knows but He himself.

13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in

blood, and His name is the Word of God.

14 The armies of heaven were following Him,

riding on white horses and dressed in fine

               linen, white and clean.

15 Out of His mouth comes a sharp sword

with which to strike down the nations.

“He will rule them with an iron scepter.”

He treads the winepress of the fury of

               the wrath of God Almighty

16 On His robe and on His thigh He has

               this name written:

KING of kings and LORD of lords.

John was watching the dress rehearsal in Heaven for the beginning of the greatest event that will ever take place on planet earth. He sees God’s Son, Jesus Christ mounting a great white stallion and behind Him is an army of millions mounted on white stallions awaiting His command to ride. This event has been told and retold for centuries, it has been prophesied in the Word of God and it is finally going to happen. The precious Lamb of God is no longer a sacrificial lamb. He is now the Omnipotent, King of kings and the Lord of lords with eyes of fire and a sharp sword (the Word of God) seen coming out of His mouth. He is preparing to literally come back to planet earth with ten thousands of His saints to execute His Fathers Judgment upon an unrepentant, sinful world. The door of Gods mercy is now closed and sad to say there will be many on the wrong side of this door. The last time the world saw Him He was hanging on a cruel cross, they jeered and mocked Him, and all Hell rejoiced at His death. But now how things have changed for this time He is coming as a victorious and conquering King and every eye shall see Him. There will be no rejoicing this time for all mankind will mourn and wring their hands because of His coming and because of their rejection of Him and His extended hand of mercy..

Revelation 1:7

Look, He is coming with the clouds, and

every eye will see Him, even those who

pierced Him; and all the peoples of the

earth will mourn because of Him.

Jude 14-15

14″Behold, the Lord is coming with ten thousands

             of His saints ,

15 to execute judgment on all, to convict all who

are ungodly among them of all their ungodly

deeds which they have committed in an ungodly

way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly

             sinners have spoken against Him.

The scriptures we have just read concerns a time that God has pre-set for His Son and all the armies of Heaven consisting of the saints that have been previously Raptured to return with Him to planet earth for the final battle with God’s arch foe and ours, Satan. This is a time that God has

promised all His martyred saints would come and it is now about to happen. It is led by His Son, Jesus Christ for the purpose of avenging all the warriors of the Cross who were persecuted unto death. Their cries have rung out to Him for centuries and He has heard everyone of them from every corner of the earth, “How long, O Lord?” These are the voices of millions who have cried out to Him because of their suffering and oppression. The voices of the weak and helpless as well as the strong, those who have suffered unto blood, their cries rang in the ears of their God who was preparing His Son to vindicate them. He is called the Lion of Judah, and the Lamb of God. He is the OmniscientOmnipotentOmnipresentAlmighty Lord God and He will finally vindicate them. The Creator of the Universe has heard every single individual cry, He has felt their suffering and He has seen all their tears, and He is now fulfilling His promise that He would avenge them.

Revelation 6:9-11

9 When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under

the altar the souls of those who had been

slain because of the Word of God and the

             testimony they had maintained.

10 They called out in a loud voice, “How long,

Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you

judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge

              our blood?”

11Then each of them was given a white robe, and

they were told to wait a little longer, until the

number of their fellow servants and brothers

who were to be killed as they had been was

Romans 12:19

Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

The world does not know or if they do they so easily forget that God is Love but He is also a God of Justice. Every child of God is precious to Him; He said He sees every sparrow that falls from a tree and so you can be sure that He sees every one of His children who are afflicted. He also said if anyone hurts any of them or is the cause of their sinning it would be better that they have a heavy millstone around their neck and be thrown into the sea. This means all His children whether young or old by the world’s standards. The death of each and every Saint of God is precious in His sight

Mark 9:42

And if anyone causes one of these little

ones who believe in me to sin, it would

be better for him to be thrown into the

sea with a large millstone tied around

             his neck.

Psalm 116:15

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the

            death of His saints

Psalm 72:14

He will rescue them from oppression and

violence, for precious is their blood in His sight.

.Hebrews 11:35-36

35 Others were tortured and refused to be

released, so that they might gain a better

36 Some faced jeers and flogging, while still

others were chained and put in prison.

Revelation 14:13

Then I heard a voice from heaven say,

“Write: Blessed are the dead who die in

the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the

Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for

             their deeds will follow them.”

We need to clarify something important at this time. This event we are speaking of here is when Jesus returns to vindicate the death of His martyred saints. It is the Second Advent when Jesus returns to this planet earth. The First Advent was when He came as a baby born of a virgin and lived for thirty three years on earth. But something wonderful happens before He returns in the Second Advent, something that is called the Blessed Hope’ the return of Jesus for His Church that is called His Bride. At this time He returns in the clouds just as He said He would. He does not return to earth for we His Bride, the Church, rise up to meet Him in the air. We then go to be with Him in His Fathers house until the seven years of the Great Tribulation is completed. This is when we His Saints return with Him to earth, The Second Advent, and He then vindicates His persecuted Saints and begins the 1,000 year Millennium.

Acts 1:9-11

9 Now when He had spoken these things,

while they watched, He was taken up, and

a cloud received Him out of their sight.

10 And while they looked steadfastly toward

heaven as He went up, behold, two men

stood by them in white apparel,

11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do

you stand gazing up into heaven? This

same Jesus, who was taken up from you

into heaven, will so come in like manner

as you saw Him go into heaven.”

Titus 2:13

While we wait for the blessed hope — the

glorious appearing of our great God and

             Savior, Jesus Christ,

John 14:2-3

2 In My Father’s house are many mansions:

if it were not so, I would have told you. I

am going to prepare a place for you.

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I

will come again, and receive you unto

Myself; that where I am, there you may

             be also.

Matthew 25:21

Well done, good and faithful servant; you

were faithful over a few things, I will make

you ruler over many things. Enter into the

           joy of your lord

Revelation 14:13

Then I heard a voice from heaven say,

“Write: Blessed are the dead who die in

the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the

Spirit, “they will rest from their labor,

for their deeds will follow them.”

The earth then goes through a horrific transition, a time such as has never happened before and will never happen again. As we have already said, it will be seven terrible years of the Great  Tribulation. It will be the time of the One World Government ruled by the Lawless One the Antichrist. God’s door of mercy for the inhabitants of this present world has closed and all who are on the wrong side of this door are lost and will feel God’s terrible wrath poured out with vengeance. The cry of the Martyrs will finally be answered and their rest will be eternal. Then everything changes, the rider on the white horse is ready to ride, His destination is planet earth, His mission is to carry out the will of His Father against the Kings of the earth, the rulers, the people with great power, the wealthy, every slave and every free person who has rejected His offer of Mercy and Grace and those who persecuted His children. These are those who chose to bow down and serve the God of this world, Mammon, and his partner in crime Babylon.

Hebrews 10:31

It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands

                of the living God.

The entire world now witness a sight such as they have never seen before and it causes them to cry out to the mountains and the rocks to hide them from the face of this rider on the white horse. He is followed by a multitude of His Saints all mounted on beautiful white stallions. This is the army of God and they are told to rejoice over the fate of the great city Babylon where the blood of His Saints both young and old flowed in its streets. And God has witnessed it all, the time has come and through His Son He is now vindicating them and judging her on their behalf. You can almost here Him saying, Will you ride with Me? What will your answer be? With great joy we will reply, ‘Yes Lord, we will ride with you.’ What a day that will be and we who are serving Him today will not be spectators at this event we will be living participants.  PRAISE GOD.

Even as this is happening Satan and his Antichrist are mobilizing the rulers of the earth and their armies to make an all out stand against the armies of Heaven. All those that could bear to look had their eyes fixed on this One who sat astride a great white stallion. His eyes burned as with fire and His countenance was etched as if in stone and it shone like the noonday sun, He held a two edged sword above His Head. The battle cry of millions of warriors, His Saints, rose up behind Him and the roar reached to every corner of planet earth. The fury of the Lion of Judah was unleashed and all the earth trembled in fear. This was the end, the final day for those who oppressed Gods people without mercy, time had run out for them and their end has finally come. The shouts of joy rang out from the children of God for they where truly free and under the covering of the Blood of the Lamb. This has been but a brief description of the events that will happen after the last martyr, the last child of God lays down their life for not denying their Lord. The Father said when the number of those to die for their faith was completed then suffering and pain would come to an end. Then the shouts of Joy and Victory will resound through out the universe for the last Warrior of the Cross has won the victory and has come home.

Psalm 116:15

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints.
